I think its time Expensive Daewoo stops putting huge 6lt lumps in their cars and start looking at smaller more efficent v8s.

HAHAHA - you've got NFI. FYI the 6 litre lump is both smaller and more efficient than the BOSS motor. It may be "old" technology but remember it is only in the last three years that Ford in Australia has had a motor that is technologically more advanced. Before that we had the Windsor which, when it was retired, had been in service for no less than 40 years. Unfortunately for us Ford fanatics it, the "NEW" modular engine, is also a lot bulkier and a lot heavier and for all intents and purposes it isn't delivering the power of the 6 litre lump.

Actually, to this point in time, even the ol' Windsor is still outperforming the BOSS engines. The BOSS certainly has the potential for further power development BUT the big question is will we ever see it - as power levels are now getting into the 300kW bracket and I don't think it will be too long before we see some kind of govt intervention preventing another horsepower war between Ford and Holden.
