February 7, 200620 yr #1 hi all, just wondering what the best prices people have got on the following tyres (not sure which I will get yet)I am looking at 245/40 18's!Michellin Pilot Sport PS2 (220 AA A) Would love these but exy and wear rating worse than the standard SP9000 dunnies or the much cheaper Goodyear. Yokohama ADVAN Sport V103 (180 AA A)Look good and coming out on the HSV's and Bentley Continental GT - lowest wear rating of the three...Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 (280 AA A)Always rate very well in the wet and has the best wear rating of the 3 (and likely to be the cheapest although close to the Yokohama'sIf anyone has costed these or purchased I would be interested in price. If in Melb then a location as well otherwise I will just try and crunch my local dude. Thanks in advance! Ben.
February 7, 200620 yr #3 Bought the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 about 6 months ago from Beau for $375 a corner.
February 7, 200620 yr #4 I have looked into the yokies, NONE available in Australia yet. Container on the way. I think they might be a very good value for money tyre. PS2 if I did ALOT less k's and Goodyear F1's suffer from shocking wear if they are pushed. The yokies are untested, but raved about by motor, and I think are fitted to STI aswell..All depends on who you speak to.
February 7, 200620 yr #5 Author Thanks guys...Think I will probably give the Yoko's a go simply from $. Best price I have been able to get is $422/corner cash (Bob Jane - Looks like I will be visiting your mate in Frankston Dave). If anyone reckons I can do better please let me know.If they wear too fast I will try the PS2's, but I figure at $800 a set cheaper for supposedly similar performance to the PS2's I will give them a whirl...$620 for PS2's is still a go from BJ's as well.$375 close to the mark for the GSD3'sCheers,Ben.

I can easily get the yokies right now in Sydney.I have the Goodyears and they are wearing well. I've just fitted Dunlop Sports Maxx to the front and these things stick like sh*te and apparently grip wel in the wet too. Finally a good Dunlop tyre. They were the same price as the Yokohamas and Eagles. The Michelin are just too dear and not really any better, though of course a very good tyre, as are all these high end tyres.
February 9, 200620 yr #9 Hey BenI just bought the Yokies vo3"s a couple of weeks ago 20x265x30 a great tyre paid alot simply because they are 20", but they hold the road like tram tracks and wont break traction at the lights, even at a 3k launch.Dave.
