Good on you for getting out there.

You will never get a good 60'. My best is a 2.16 and I babied it off the line.

I don't flat shift, and my 300rwkw nets' me 12.80 + 115mph.

What are you revving it out to? Look at your dyno graph and change gear just as the power starts to drop off.

How quick are your gearchanes?? I can go from 2nd, hit the chimes and be in 3rd and back on the gas before the chimes stop.

Practice, and the heat wouldn't have helped you either.

12.7~ 13 sec seems to be around the mark for 300~320 rwkw F6 Manual six speed.

As the boys have indicated traction is a problem and it took me @ 7 runs to get a 12.7 pass.

The Computer is linked to the clutch by way of a switch so it knows when you change and this has its effects on the boost between manual sh*ts.

I think some of the tuners work around this with edit and a few changes to the map so it doesn’t drop off as much when changing.

I think that bringing the boost on hard and early actually helps when shifting gears even though you are past that RPM range, By this I mean the characteristics of the tune allows for a quicker ramp up in boost even at a higher RPM after a change.

F6_UTE could probably give you an example of how the slingshot boost actually helps higher in the rpm range, for example one of his tunes has a greater RWKW but less inclination on the ramp and runs a slower time.

Get the tuner to do some work on the map and get some better rubber and I’m sure a mid 12 is there in the manual for you.

Indeed Grasshopper. BUT...

As I mentioned, that tune went a sh*teload better the day after, and I've just swapped to my wog 'softckok ' tune which pulled 280rwkw..

the bpt has a whole new world of top end. It comes on later, but it sure pulls hard when it boosts..

Oh, and he flat shifted, so no setting can override what may seem to be a lacklustre midrange..

I just dug up your old thread with your dyno graph in it.

You make a peak power higher than what I did at the time, but I had more power everywhere untill 120kph. ( 3800 rpm ) then very similar to yours after 4900 rpm.

I held my peak 297.7 rwkw untill around 195kph ( 5600 rpm ) where yours dies pretty early.

My midrange with the wog tune is roughly 20-25 rwkw more than yours between 2000rpm + 3600 rpm.

At 66 kph, I'm making 97 rwkw, you have 82 or so.

My mods at the time were injectors and a dump pipe.

In my experiences, it's a strong midrange and power being held for longer revs which makes a quicker car. Just having a high peak power figure won't do it down the 1/4..

Yes, but on a street car running street tyres and standard suspension the MPH is probably the better indicator of power rather than the ET. I'm my case I can run anything from a 12.9 to 13.4 @ 116mph.

MPH means nothing

ET is everything

No point talking about mph and what it should do ET will show what it does do IMO!

Disagree. If your a bad driver you will get a bad ET but your MPH can still be very good. So generally I think your MPH will tell you how much power the car is making.

So if your a bad driver you'll will get beat so it wont matter what pwr your mph tell's you then, but I agree your mph will tell you your pwr but my point is ET is more important than MPH :idea31:

OK. ETs have better bragging rights over MPH. :spoton:
