I'm Gassed !

My duel fuel conversion was done last week, so now I'm on gas!!

It must be a good system has I have not noticed much if any power loss at all

(No jokes about how I haven't got much to lose... :) )

The system has a very small convertor - there's ample room for a hair dryer!

It also has a FlashLube setupo - but they have position it right in font of the steering wheel firewall corner - and on hard acceleration you can hear the sucking sound. Might have been better located near the air cleaner box where it may not have been so readily heard.

I'm very happy at this point

What's the flashlube for? Is that like the valve lubricant it puts in to stop detonation?

Ill continue to wait till someone makes a decent kit.

Worth checking where they put the flashlube inlet position. I had a VT crappadore destroy the valves as the flashlube inlet into the plenum was not in the airflow(it was located at the back of the plenum as that was the easiest place for them to put it). The flashlube merely trickled into the plenum and ran down into only one inlet tube. Lazy fitting by a supposedly reputable Gas fitter in Sydney (The Gasman). The flashlube inlet needs to be in the airstream to ensure that the flashlube oil mist is distributed as evenly as possible to the valves.

Some people say you don't need flashlube, it depends entirely on the construct of the valves and valve guides. I have no idea what they have used in the NA engines or whether there is any difference in the factory BA/BF gas engines.

Probably not - but it's an NA anyway - so I'm not missing out on as much as you Turbo Fellas can get by Modding

I'll have a look where they have plumbed the FlashLube to.

My previous system on the EF never had a FlashLube and never gave any problems at all.

I think it's just a precaution - fine with me.

Going out to carpark to look now......
