January 19, 200620 yr #2 Come on guys, put in your opinion so a date can be picked and the event organised... originally there were plenty of people enthusiastic to go for a bit of a skeet around the track. If it's a financial issue then why dont we make it O'connor at Kart World or whatever it is, its a bit cheaper and it's indoors, but it is slower and less time.I am keen for a Sunday during the day, weeknights is a bit of a trek for us northies :(
January 20, 200620 yr #3 I am definatly keen,Sunday is the best day for me as long as im not hung over.Go Karts and nausia might not be the best combination
January 22, 200620 yr #4 Author well we always have our cruises on a sunday and we get a fair few turn up so sunday day it is..time to get an idea of numbers me thinks!!
April 4, 200620 yr #5 Thread resurrection:Lets get this thing happening... if we get enough interest to have a group booking we can pay a deposit and hire the track for a few hours. $50 a head gets you the following:3 laps of practice followed by 5 heats of 4 laps each, with the winnerdetermined by the accumulation of points scores during the heats.First place will be presented with a trophy. $60 a head gets you:3 laps of practice followed by 6 heats of 4 laps each. Again, the winneris determined by the accumulation of points scores during each of the heats. First place will be presented with a trophy. Minimum is 10 people to justify a group booking (ie $500 each)Lets try and get it going before the weather gets too crappy, but if we dont get enough numbers the alternative is an indoor place in o'connor. Hands up who's keen? I'll probably go for the $50 option... For those who dont know where it is, it's at Henderson on the way to Rockingham.
April 4, 200620 yr #6 Im very interested on the idea mate the misses brother is keen to come along as well. Also is it a all boys day cause brother in law girlfriend is pretty keen.
April 4, 200620 yr #7 i'l be keen as long as all you skinny fawkers out there have to strap a few kilos of lead wieght onto you karts so that we're all even...... either that or i want to have access to my car for a week before hand so that simon can tune it up for me.....
April 4, 200620 yr #8 It is not restricted to males... sausage fests are not that much fun hahaAnyone is welcome as it means we get a booking easier.Bring the kids!!
April 4, 200620 yr #9 I have been to the Cockburn karts and they are great fun! The track is also very very fun and its a proper kart track!hiddeous the extra kgs dont help mate. I am 115kg and I had no chance of keeping up with the bloke who won and he was around 95kg. The good thing about more weight is that you have more traction due to the extra down force, so you can come into corners with no break. Only problem is picking up speed up the hill on the back straight!
