I have bought some 19" BSA wheels and kumho 235/35ZR19 tyres. I was thinking that before I go ahead and put them on I may get some king springs at the same time. If was wondering if I get the kingspring SL's would my new wheels sit under the guard? I am not really impressed with the wheel below the guard look...

I would really like some guys whop have 19" rims and a profile of 35 to post some pics of theirs T's after lowering as that may help.

Also comments, suggestions?

If you've gone to the 235/35zr19 tyres then the rolling diameter of the tyre should be very close to that of an 235/40zr18 so I can't imagine the tyre being any further up under that guard than an 18" wheel would. Might I suggest getting th SL's for the front and SSL's for the rear, this is what I have, like many others hear and it looks great.

Make sure you post some pics when finished.

235 are skinny tyres, and should not be a problem at all.

Having said that, it always depends upon you having wheels that have the correct offset.

I assume you are using 8-8.5" wide rims.

Many people have 9-9.5" rims; I have 10", which I reckon is the limit with my 4 pot rear Alcons.

You can always roll the guards, and pick up around 5mm.

So I doubt you'll have a problem.

Brian, I don't think he was worried about the tyres not fitting within the guards, more that they would go up under the guard if he lowered the car too much (which, I have to agree with veczar on, is a look I really don't go for! :nono: ).

veczar, I'm running 235/40/18 on mine, which has a daimeter of 25.4". Your 235/35/19 will give a diameter of 25.5", so stuff all difference really. I've fitted King Springs to my T, with SSL springs at the rear. I'm really happy with the outcome, it rides very well considering how much it has been dropped by, and the tyres certainly don't go up underneath the guards (thank goodness!). However, using the SSLs at the rear, I did have to have about 1/2" cut off the bump stops.

Pic is attached so you can see what the ride height looks like - yours should look the same, just with slightly more wheel and less rubber height! :spoton:

Thanks guys...

Brian, Yeh they are 8.5 I am guessing but I already know they fit as I tried one on the front before I bought them. I was just wondering with the SL's and SSL's would the tyre go up above the guard.

bungster, you have convinced me by the pics of your T that the sl (front) + ssl (rear) or sl + sl, would not go under the gaurd! Check PM.

thanks benny and jetmir as well.
