You wont do it with the SCT tools you know...

All of what you are talking about is controlled by the BCM (Body Control) as Goldie pointed out and has nothing to to with the PCM (Powetrain Control). Two totally separate pieces of hardware unfortunately

I think there would be a market for it, as I would pay for a change and I am sure that others would.

You could make it as a optional enhancement for the Edit

Ermm guys.... the alarm is SUPPOSED to go off when you disconnect the battery! Eg. A thief is trying to cut power to the alarm!

There is a procedure for disconnecting the battery without the alarm going off... If you need the instructions PM me.

Good piont that!!!But I have found,you press to open boot(off key pad),boot goes click,you lift boot open and the alarm sounds,so what I have to do is,press unlock car first,then boot,so then lifting boot with no alarm sounding

then after a minute the car locks itself and the horn sounds three times,if you dont open a door

I am just not allowed to buy new mods...I already have some from the T that will go to the F6 when it arrives

Similar problem with a mates car. Took it to the dealer, they replaced the struts (worked for a while), adjusted the boot lock (couldn't get the boot open then), wound up the bump stops either side of the boot lid (fixed).

The excuse is that the wieght of the spoiler doesn't let the lid lift enough.

I use a fully integrated qafter market Mongoose alarm and immobiliser and it is designed to just that Vick - ie attempt to gain entry via any of the cars openings without first disabling the system the alarm will sound, engine will immobilise etc.

Those wallys at ford said it shouldn,they fixed it for two weeks and it reverted back,Ill get the job sheet out

says,Found loose connectionon diode at boot lamp.

Repaird as required,test opperation all ok.

Well that lasted two weeks

next attempt to fix said

Found boot light diode open circuit,replaced as required

two weeks down the track,same fugging story.

Seriously? I disconnected the battery when I moved it to the boot - no alarm. The car had been sitting for maybe an hour or two unlocked ('cause we were working on it) with boot, bonnet & all doors open. Maybe that's it.

Anyway, in reply to ZapF6's question about the ZF 6 speed box, I read that it has it's own control module, it's no longer controlled by the ecu.
