Nightwish....once

Well, before I start my rave, thanks XR6TU and jetute for putting me onto this awesome heavey metal band.

After seeing XR's wallpaper decidied to check out their website and ending up purchasing 'Once' today...........fukcn awesome music, played loud of course, 'Nemo' stands out as one of the tracks on the album.

Now.....anyone who reckons heavy metal is just banging guitars and grunting, rub this album in their face as you laugh manically at them.

Being a crusty head banger from way back, suckled on Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Motorhead and the like I would never have said a chick could front a metal band but this belief has been truly dashed. Nightwish's style allows this to happen ....naturally.

After hearing Metallica's last effort (sorry Cro) this group has restored my faith in metal artists again.

Now I wonder what Randy Rhodes could have achieved if his life had not been cut tragically short.
