Gees YCL - amazing how much they look like Typhoon Wheels.

Well - the response so far hasnt been as negative as I thought.

I dont like the 'colour coded' idea - I think something different to contrast is good.

and -Bain - thanks - will be good to see.

Well Im not a big fan of chrome anymore (but im still a small fan), but am seriously considering some white rims as I have a black MKII T. Im not a big fan off powder coating my MKII mags in white (because of style), but I reakon something like the AU T3 T series mags in white would be sweeet!!!

Bain the stealth idea is would be cool for something different.

I also have a set of 2002 Mustang cobra wheels which would look mint in white on a black T. Im considering powder coating these white if they fit on?? havent tried fitting them yet.

I used to have a Fiat 125 Twin Cam - and that had white - baked enamel wheels. Sounds like a cooking dish I know - but the enamel was good as nothing stuck on it properly. You just sprayed them with a hose - and they were clean, but man did the white show the brake dust if you didnt keep hosing them.

The local Ford dealers had a Narooma blue XR8 that was a mock up of a Ford Credit V8 Tourer (kind of) and had white mags - looked ok - but not for me.

I have thought about doing this to my original mk 1 rims. I have a blood orange t and I reckon if I could get them professionally coloured to black they would look great. I could be wrong

I had a mate with a black wrx and he painted his original rims black and it looked good.

I have also thought about it... I have a mandarin and I recogn black powdercoating would look sweet on on it

Jetmir is right.

the 17's are too small... go up to 18s or 19s before attempting to change colours I'd reckon

Great job on the colour change Jetmir, thanks for that.

I dont think the 17s look small on the Falcons at all - just you guys are getting so use to 18s and 19s.

What sized rims are the v8 supercars using - they are only 17s arnt they?

As Jetmir said - might have to get used to it - maybe I will set that as my desktop wallpaper to let the idea grow on me.
