May I say Envy, your avatar looks pretty good too! ...............And, err, yes, that is indeed a scuff on the lower bumper. But I can say with my hand on my heart that it was already there when we bought the car and we were aware of it. Almost EVERY T was saw for sale at the auctions had a similar scuff on one or both sides of the car, it was pretty unbelievable actually. Do Govt employees always do that to their cars?! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nice looking wheels Bugger70 not sure about the colour of your car though...but I guess with all the money you saved at the auction you can always paint it a better colour.......like Lightning Strike or Winter White. I heard all Govt employees were terrible drivers....perhaps you can confirm this for us.

As for all of them being terrible drivers, there are exceptions to every rule... Yeah, the 'flaps were already on it when I bought the car. To be honest they've never really caught my eye that much, and there have been times when I've appreciated them being on (like you, when the roads were wet and dirty). But now others have got me thinking, I have no idea what the car even looks like without them on!! Yup, I've tried Edit, but am only running the 8psi map at the moment - I've only got 95RON fuel in the car at the moment and want to put in 98RON before I try the 10psi map to minimise the risk of damage to my engine. I've put up a short post on my experience.

My first T didn't have them but after about 6 months off cleaning off mud Tar and touching up stone chips from the sides of my car I went out and bought a set.Don't take them off, if you didn't notice them detracting from the look of the car before others brought it to your attention.... my recomendation is to LEAVE THEM ON!

If you thought that you'd need to touchup the stone chips from the front of the car, wait till you've been driving around without mupflaps.

To be honest I haven't REALLY pushed either tyre to their outer limits, but the feedback I've got so far from reasonably spirited driving is that the F1's seem to offer noticeably more grip in both dry and wet conditions (wet weather grip is way better than the Dunlops). Can't say anything about wear yet but I'm hopeful they'll last for somewhat longer than a full on super sticky sports type tyre.
