For anyone in melbourne I am happy to scan & clear codes for forum mebers for free.  I am in mill aprk but there is one catch, I will need to bring the scan tool home from work & need to know before I leave & am limited to when I can do it, if anyone wants it done we can arrange a time & happy to scan codes & or read data for you guys.  Cant do it during work hours or I would have to charge for use of my tool, if I do it after hours no charge for site members.

I take it you work for a ford dealer?

Ford motor company is now looking for you.

It's happened before! They :spoton: that chap!

It would seem that Geeas car had generated a P1227 overboost related code, which would have resulted in the performance decrease he experienced. The good news is that Edit contains a fix for this problem.

For those interested it is as simple as going to -

SCALARS

- TURBOCHARGER

and changing P1227_level from 0.6320003 to 0.9999999

Save file, reflash PCM, and problem with external boost adjusting device (Xede) solved. This is exactly what we do when adding an external Blitz/Apexi etc boost controller.

If the factory PCM was controlling the boost pressure this fault would not have been logged...but because the Xede is commanding the boost in Craigs car the PCM sees that it is not getting what it aims for and protects itself, just as the maker intended. Resetting the P1227_level removes the PCMs concern with aim boost level.

Hope this is valuable information for some members!

It took me that long to find out the fault code generated. Craig (geea) told me the actual number, not Dynowog. Hope that puts your mind at ease. :smilielol:

Thanks for all your help today Martin. It was great of you to get in touch with me to help solve this problem, both for myself and potentially others aswell.
