45000km Service

Today I took my T into Centre Ford in Northbridge for its 45k service. I received very friendly and prompt service when I got there and felt quite confident in handing over the keys. I supplied the Oil (7L of Magnatec) and the filter, didnt require an air filter and didnt need a wheel rotation so they quoted me (over the phone) $185. The service assistant said my vehicle would be ready at about 4pm.

I got a phone call at about 1pm saying my car is ready to be picked up as the service was complete. They have also arranged to replace my gearbox completely to fix the 2nd gear fizzle under load. They fixed my leaky thermostat housing too.

When I went to pick the car up and pay the bill I was very pleasantly surprised to find they were only charging me $99!!! This falls WELL short of the $427 I was quoted by Nuford in Wangara. Even taking the $80 off for supplying oil and filters doesnt bring the price anywhere near Centre ford's original quote. I have a good mind to ring up Nuford and gloat about how much my service was ;):gooff:

I just wanted to let everyone in perth know how impressed I was with their service at Centre Ford and would happily recommend them to anyone. My new gearbox should be here in three weeks. :spoton: Nuford wouldnt even entertain the thought of replacing my gearbox!! :fool:

Cheers,

Steve.

Why did it only end up costing $99 ?

I plan on booking mine in in the next week or so and would like to push for the same deal.
