See link below for a reveiw of the Typhoon up against a Clubsport with the new Track pack option;

http://carsguide.news.com.au/news/story_pa...5E21822,00.html

The track pack is a great option, come on FPV, DO IT :laughing: The track pack is pretty much everything l would expect from a GT-HO with the exception of a power hike. At around $72k its awesome value. Looks like HSV have beaten FPV to the punch again :spoton:

I think the Phoon kicked the HSV's ass, you do not go racing 24/7 and that's what matters, daily drivability with ass kicking punch. :laughing:

From the article:

THE VERDICT

Offered the keys to both cars for a quick blast on twisty tarmac or on a track day and we would take the special Clubsport.

The Dealer Team Spec car is more raw, rugged and easier to push on the limit than the Typhoon. It also wants to go hard all the time.

But if you had to choose a car to keep, drive around town and on long trips, as well as the odd fast blast, we'd take the Typhoon.

New from HSV - Clubsport raceday spec!

Comes with only one seat, remaining interior removed, no aircon, but is 2 secs quicker than the standard Dealer Team Spec car.

Show those normal folk what they're missing!

Raceday spec can be yours for $10,000.

HSV does not warrant against heat stroke, physical exhaustion or the inconvenience of only being able to tolerate driving the thing for 30 mins before you need a rest.

hehe :laughing:

Link didnt work either.. But I have read the artice before...

I know what Id buy..

Why spend all that money on the team spec when ya can get a typhoon.. and with the money you have saved get an edit or goto Nizpro..

I think HSV are reaching hard to match up with the Typhoon and Tornado..

Id rather get a car that I can drive around the town and still give it some every so often and not have to fill it up every second day..

l can think of 5 good reasons;

1) Full warranty

2) Insurance

3) Legalities/EPA

4) Resale of a stock vs modded car

5) Peace of mind

Why do people continue to compare modded cars to stock? :spoton:

HSV certainly now how to produce quick cars, if they only knew how to design a good looking car. To me the HSV's look like something out of an 80's Battlestar Galictica episode.... :spoton:

I've been coming round to the Typhoon scenario. I would buy one over the the HDT Clubbie. But at 43 perhaps I'm getting old.
