I am extremely fussy when it comes to in cabin noises, makes the car feel really cheap. It annoys me to death. Like said earlier you fix one rattle than another appears. I have been trying to fix one rattle behind the centre console for weeks with no luck. I have taken half my dash appart including the icc but still no luck. Is it confirmed that sedans rattle less? I cant see how that is possible if the front dash is the same in utes and sedans.

It was happening months ago and I thought it was from in the airbag area, but then it magically disappeared. Came back in the last couple of weeks - maybe its linked to the colder weather? It still comes and goes though. Managed to lean over and find it (stops when put pressure on the vent). Gonna see if I can stop it somehow tomorrow.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Finally got sick enough of this rattle to stop on the piece of road where it is at its worst. Bit of trial and error and it was simply fixed by forcing a folded up paper napkin down between the dash and window right in front of where the A pillar meets the dash - Problem solvered. Ahhhh silence at last!!

Once the brakes warm up the noise gets really annoying. Apparently the ford boys located the problem and rectified it on my 15k service. Apparently it was the handbrake needed adjusting !!!I 2 have that annoying noise emmiting from near the drivers side door lock, it appears to be the outer door frame plastic cover being out ever so slightly missaligned. Press the plastic from outside and u'll hear it pop and click.

I have pulled the cover off and had a good look inside and theres nothong there...It has settled down abit though. I have a big gut feeling it has something to do with the glove box. The thing that annoys me is when you turn the radio off to hear the turbo, I hear the rattle. It just annoys me.

Possibly the same as yours!? See my previous post.

micksta Member 159 Member For: 21y 10m 24d Gender: Male Location: NSW Posted 19/09/05 10:27 AM Posted 19/09/05 10:27 AM I found one!It was the APS cold intake mounted on the front of the air box.I unplugged the Uni chip and dropped the socket down the side of the air box. So I had to remove the air box and to find it, once the air box went back in, the rattle stopped.I was on my way to Ford trying to find the rattle. It must have been the way it was installed, banging against the headlight! That’s one down, about five to go!Hope this helps guys, if you have air box mods.Micksta
