Got the news last night that a V8 Super Car team (I think Stone Brothers) will be jumping into the after market performance products game and will be coming out with blower kits and all kinds of bits in about 2 weeks.

Their product will be "only" for FPV vehicles with full backing from Ford and FPV.

This info came with a friendly warrning from a dealer not to by any more Herrod parts untill this stuff comes out. This New player is aimed at being a direct challange to Herrod's top peg in the after market performance enhancements for the Boss. No word yet if there'll be anything for the F6.

Ford dealers are getting into bed very quietly with this new player, all parts are said to be made and developed by the one company (no stamp your name and call it your own) and all parts will be signed and numbered by the parts makers (sounds like a TE50/TS50 donk) plus each part will also be signed by a V8 Super car driver from the Team.

Invites are being sent out to FPV owners about an info night in 2 weeks time should be a real show and tell event.

Has anyone with a FPV been contacted yet?

Sounds right that it might be Stone Brothers Racing after the DevilR and Enforcer XR8's were released. But they don't really have the facilities to do this. They've got 3 sheds, the main building shed, the promo shop/shed and the engine building shed. And by the looks of it they're already all chock full.

Would be very cool though.

It won't take much to be better than Herrod's. They have a great PR department pushing over-priced products. I don't know of many (if any) quick Herrod's cars. Most of there products are someone elses that have been rebadged and had the price increased 50%.

I know of one ford v8 super car driver who has tested some go fast bits on gt's for a new mod mob which will carry his name.

I am not allowed to say who it is but he is not from sbr.

Well said Geea, infact you'd think Herrod have a PR department on Nos the way they carry on. Stranger still is the way some Ford owners will only buy mods if they have the Herrod name on it.

Standing by the letter box for my invite to the big night, now thinking it'll be FPR if its not a QLD Team, the ties between DJR and Herrod is a little strong to brake but then again DJR don't have Shell as there big meal ticket anymore so stranger things have happen.

I've heard a rumour that Dick Johnson is going to release some heavily modified cars that could make up to 320kW! The cars will possibly be labelled "DJR 320", named according to their output. Don't know if its true but a mate said he read it on the internet...
