Has anybody heard of those "passive repeater" mobile phone antenna's. They just stick onto your window and supposedly boost mobile phone reception despite not being connected in any way to your phone.

Are they just a gimmick?

They do exist, I've seen them in shops, but like you said, I also thought they were too good to be true and didn't buy one. From memory, it wasn't too expensive either
