  1. Happy Birthday bwashington!

  2. Does anyone know the color code for the grey accents/inserts on BA Typhoon type rims or if anyone supplies a ready made touch up paint for this color?
  3. I finally traded in my 2002 BA XR6T for a 2011 FG Upgrade Ute! The BA served me well for almost 10 years but after 275,000km's and a growing list of small problems it was a case of keep throwing good money after bad or lash out. I love the new car and cant believe the power difference between the two! Anyway my question is when using the auto car wash do you all remove your antenna like the manual advises or does it hold up OK? Regards, Ben.
  4. Had my 15,000km service today and they (Rex Gorell - Geelong) replaced the discs no questions asked, said they knew all about the disc warping problem. I'd been sweating on this after reading on this forum how alot of people were just getting the machining and one or two even charged for the machining! especially since with 14700km on the clock I probably have more kms than most with this problem even though it started a while back. Bottom line, Ford are aware they have a problem so dont accept anything less than a no cost warranty fix. Regards, Ben.

  6. Visited the Discovery Centre today and they have XR6 Turbo caps in stock $22.50 ea, as well as a whole heap of FPV stuff. Pursuit Ute and GT have been removed from display though :( Regards, Ben
  7. Has anybody heard of those "passive repeater" mobile phone antenna's. They just stick onto your window and supposedly boost mobile phone reception despite not being connected in any way to your phone. Are they just a gimmick? Regards, Ben.
  8. Last Saturday night some ba$tard debadged my XR6T on my front lawn, taking the boot XR6 and Turbo badge, bastards must have used a screwdriver or knife to get them off and managed to scratch the paint down to the bare metal in numerous places. The most annoying thing is that the badges just stick on and if they wanted them so badly they could have at least just peeled them off or heck buy them from ford spares for around $20 each... Just gives me the $hits to think they are just hanging on some teenage kids bedroom wall or something... So after paying around $350 to have the damage repaired at File Finish in Melbourne (www.filefinish.com.au) I dont know whether to leave the badges off or replace them, I think they kindof complete the car but perhaps its best to just wait a while to hopefully the XR6T novelty wears off just a bit, or maybe I just get the XR6 badge and go N/A incognito.... Sorry to ramble but I just needed to vent my spleen... Regards, Ben.
  9. Makes me feel quesy just looking at those pictures, what a jealous gutless act. Hope to see pictures posted again soon in it's fully repaired glory... Regards, Ben.
  10. Just got back from taking my XR6 in for it's 3000Km complimentary service and they tell me there has been a recall on the body control module for a batch of cars including mine, have to take it back Thursday to be fixed. What exactly is the body control module and what does it do? Regards, Ben.
  11. I may be wrong but the way the salesperson explained to me they are a 100w equivalent but still 55w. You can see 55w still printed on the packaging... At any rate, I had them on my previous car, a AUII Ute for two years and never had a problem. Regards, Ben.
  12. The top ones are H3, for the Fog lamps... Bottom left are H4, for the headlights, also come with blue globes for the park lights... Bottom right are H7, for the high beams... Regards, Ben...
  13. I've put the blue globes in my headlights, high beams and park lights, bought ones for the fog lamps but havn't installed them yet. They look and work great but are a real pain to install with the engine bay being so cramped. I had to pull out the battery and take the cover off the air box to get enough room to work. Picked mine up at my local Autobarn... Regards, Ben.
  14. 1992 Subaru Brumby Ute, 2000 AU II 'SE' Ute - Monsoon Blue 2002 BA XR6T Sedan - Blueprint Regards, Ben.
  15. Anybody had any experiance with the "autobahn" stuff they refer to in the ford forum thread? Worth it? and who does it? Regards, Ben.
