Well tonight I had my 2nd try at wsid, this time with an extra 40rwkw and shiftkit fitted. Previous outing was 13.3 with 242 rwkw..

In my endeavor to get into the elusive 12 club I decided to again remove some stuff from the car including baby seats, spare and jack, even log books, but I also decided to leave not much fuel in the car, trying to save as much weight as possible.. After speaking to eugene the same thing happenned to him, I suffered fuel starvation once I got into 3rd gear :w00t2: Basically what it felt like was surging with the boost fluctuating between 12.5 and 9 psi shortly after hitting 3rd :(

Saying that the car felt like a rocket through 1st and 2nd, then shortly after pulling very hard early in 3rd it would happen.. As much as I stumbled across the line I still even managed a 12.9 so I am happy. My auto is stock all bar a shift kit and it performed well even with the power, chirping on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts.

run 1

run 2

run 3

For comparisons sake I seemed to be pulling in the ute that I ran against twice with it eventually pulling away when my fuel problem occurred :rl: as is shown by my faster 1000ft mph... Can someone who has done around mid 12's let me know what your 1000ft mph was so I can see where I could have possibly been ?

With all said and done I am happy to have a 12 sec car that cost me under 2k in mods.. (Was a phase 3 aps there that hadnt :w00t2: )

I will be back again soon for another shot, with at least half a tank of bloody fuel :w00t2:

Chop :rl:

Exactly how much fuel did you have in the car, I see you have upgraded your injectors so your fuel problem was pickup related.

I've found that if I have less than a 1/3 of a tank I get fuel starvation over the latter parts of the run. I suggest running with 1/2 a tank.

Welcome to the 12's. :w00t2:

Yeah mph was around 105 due to the starvation problem end of track.. I reckon the way it was pulling it would be good for at least 110, and my 60ft' was in the 2.2's so I dont think its a good indication of the true potential if I didnt get the fuel issues.

Fuel tank was in the first stage low fuel light, below a 1/4 anyway :( Here I was thinking it would help having less weight

Geea do you have any old runs when your car was doing mid or low 12's ? If so can you tell me the 660ft' mph pls champ. For interest sake my mph at 660 was 89 and 90. Final et is not indicative of true speed as was coasting over the line with fuel probs..

Cheers chop.
