Guest TRACK Guests Posted 05/04/05 03:56 PM Share Posted 05/04/05 03:56 PM Ford will not put anything in writting, the only thing they will issue is, "the car as tested on ### date was found to be within specification". They will not put details or specific items in the letter, just a worthless blanket statement. They lie anyway! I have a report from head office telling me my car is "within specification", whilst at the same time they have a replacement diff on order for the car! Go figure!!!Good luck anyway! Posted 06/04/05 06:24 AM Share Posted 06/04/05 06:24 AM I tend to agreeWhen I test drove a T at the dealers it went so hard.Eight weeks later my 2005 M11 T seems to me to bit flat. (eg don't go like the car I test drove.)People tell me that it's not run-in (3000 km) but the demo at the Ford dealer only had 200 km on it.I suspect that it being a new build it has being de-tuned.No proof just a seat of the pants type feeling.RegardsCreepy<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Gotta agree with you Gary, when I test drove my first T, it felt like it was a rocket. When mine arrived, it didnt 'feel' near as fast. Both are/were Auto's.I would not be surprised if the dealers stuff in a higher boost flash pre-sale, then lower the boost pre-delivery to normal. Having said that, now I've got the Edit, I dont care what they did Although my hip pocket does <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yeah I get the feeling too that the car I test drove was maybe a bit more powerful than the one I ended up with... That being said I am more than happy with my current T Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16714-wheres-the-power-gone/page/4/#findComment-239717 Share on other sites

I just dont want them to do it without asking, do I not say anything and hope they dont? After I have this problem sorted out with loss of power I am going to buy a small padlock wrap it in heat shrink and drill a hole through the connector and attach this same insulated padlock. This might slow these pricks down at least. Then it puts us in control and they need to justify to us any flashes they wish to do...not just do them and tell us afterwards.Be interesting to see their reaction. Wonder if they will replace the part (ie cut the wire, add a new connector and then flash it!). Be sure to combine it with a "Do not flash" order. in fact I would ask for it to be put as a note on my car's record on their computer system, Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16714-wheres-the-power-gone/page/4/#findComment-239918 Share on other sites

Can they do a flash back to the old firmware? This has p8$$ed me off big time Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16714-wheres-the-power-gone/page/4/#findComment-240737 Share on other sites

This will be interesting as after that it will be going down the 1/4 mile again. Before any services it ran 13.84 so if it runs 14.5s after the service obviously something is up...Will be interesting to see what happens.
