Wow

Had 2 new 3000's fitted last week cause of spliting. Two were OK and put to the rear.

Guess what? Just checked and the rears have now started to split!!!

I suspect it's the torque that is the cause of the splits.

They go back next week for newies

Dunlop must be hurting on this one!

Getting replacements is fine but you have to realise that your new ones are just gonna do the same thing... I would just wear them out and get something else.

If its a manufacturing fault then why would they just put the tyres back on with the same faults. Surely they would fix the problem first, they can't be dumb enough to just put ones one with the same problem.

You've got to wonder why Ford still use these POS tyres, although a tyre dealer told me that all of the BF XRs have SP9000s. I had a tyre split right through the tread after 8,000 kms - was told that "running over a kerb" did the damage. Yeah, right! Based on this BS from the dealer I paid for the new tyre.

Just fitted a set of Goodyear F1 GSD3s at 35,000 kms and found a split right scross the tread on one of the SP3000s. Will be taking it back to the dealer...

If it was a huge fault then wouldnt you see more problems with them such as falling apart and such? It's the way they are made (carelessly) that makes them aesthetically unappealing, it doesnt reduce their effectiveness and 50000km on a tyre is testament to that.
