Oh dear, I cant believe you are bragging about beating a stock SV8. Pretty silly. I dont know what you were trying to achieve by posting that. Good to see that most of the T boys share the same/similar opinion as me.

Rednut you think your ute is quick. My XRT when std ran a 14.3 and a run with ss commys and wrx subbies were very close. You better get your rex checked out then :spoton:  if your 15 sec ute is beating it............

His ute has 195 rwkw and is stock

I would be quite confident betting that he would run a quicker time than a 15.

He might even give your 14.3 a fair old shaking :gooff:

Somehow I think the ute will be posting mid to low 14s mate.

A stock Magna manual 3.0litre and 3.5litre will run a 15 flat to 15.3.. (have plenty of 1/4 mile time slips to prove it to)

So given a magna gets hosed easily by an xr6t, its safe to say they should be running low 14sec passes..

I think everyone is being unfair on this guy, I have heard many of stories of peoples modded T's blowing away stock V8's never the less its still a victory. I have had a few runs with stock Vy's and Vx's its a laugh watching em try. I like to see them take the next turn so they dont have to face the embaresment at the next lights.

But I do agree you need to get your tunners dyno checked 209 stock hmmm. And you now say u got 265rwkw??? and you only got the Vy by a few car lenghts?? strange...

Anyway I like your choice of suspension.

That's mate. I'm thick skinned, and don't give a :pinch: about the critisism from others

Perhaps I should have clarified the run I had with the SV8, and said it was an easy victory, as it was all over by the top end of 3rd gear. Not really worth mentioning, but still good for a giggle.

More to the point the victory over the WRX was more rewarding considering the mods that are done to it ( big front mount I/C, Unichip, boost up and different exhaust), and his ability to launch off the line, grab a car lenght on take-off over me, yet still be able to catch and pass his car. The guy was good about it, considering I run him a week ago and he was telling everyone of his victory over the XR6T. Bugger me for not realising he was actually going for it.

I doubt the dyno figures are incorrect, as they have been verified on 2 dyno's in Perth, and also the SOTP confirms the amount of power by the ease at which the car will pull away from stock XR6T's and SV8/SS.

As for the lecture about street racing :middlefingerred:

I have only ever had 1 single run down a 400m strip and I peeled of a factory beating 14.7 from my ute, including nearly stalling it rolling off the start line with a 2sec reaction time. I clocked 99MPH, stock as weighing in at over 1900kgs. My 60ft was over 2.5sec.

I am confident the ute is capable of doing a 14.2, and tomorrow night I will find out if I have the skill to do such a run.

However, without dumping the clutch in the WRX at 6000rpm, it will never come close to a 14.0 and with my girlfriend in the ute and me in the WRX side by side and nailing it in the same gear, I get the joy of watching my ute tear away with the back wheels tucked under the guards.

The WRX's only chance is in the launch, if it doesn't get a good headstart then, its got no chance of outrunning the ute.

If anyone was interested, here is a screen shot of the timeslip and dyno readout for the ute previously mentioned.

Race number T39. - Running 18" Street Tyres.

Dynoed with Difillipo 1 7/8 Headers

Twin 3" cats into twin 3" exhaust -Difillipo

224/228 @114lsa Comp Cam + Valve Springs

Chipmaster Mafless with Pod Air Intake.

Same Car with Stock Exhaust and Tri-Y extractors, stock cats etc 2 years ago with a maf tune.

Forgot to add, it's only gained about 10rwkw over the stock cam when it was mafless tuned. But this cam has been matched for future Forced induction.

So dont be too scared city slickers, it's a highway cruiser most of the time.
