Fordboy they are actually classed as Foglights, driving lights have a different spread of beam which is usually pointed forward out and out, while these are forward and down... If you don't agree then go look in your owners manual, Ford classes them as Foglights... and the Green indicator that lights up on the dashboard is a Worldwide foglight symbol, any vehicle fitted with foglights must have that present (that is if they are fitted at factory level).

Holdens on the other hand are fitted with driving lights therefore that's why they blind you much more then the Ford jobies.

well I'll just shut up then!

but without yellow lenses they would be next to useless...

Whats wrong with fog light for extra visibility at night, mine do f*ck all to help in the fog we get up here on a nightly basis.

Well, technically they are illegal except for use in fog or poor visibility. Not simply for driving at night.

Last time I drove at night the visibility wasnt the best. :spoton:

Well, when you get pulled over for driving with them on, try this: "Last time I drove at night the visibility wasnt the best, officer" and see how you go.

Once I was pulled over for driving with them on once, I thought 'well, that's it, I've been told' so now I only use them when they're needed. Like tonight when it was pouring with rain and these fantastic Sydney road markings become invisible on the slick roads. It was good having the extra light on the road right in front of me.

The only times I have ever heard of people being pulled over in QLD is when they had coloured lights, eg, blue, red, purple.
