Still thinking about supercharging and wondering how effective the Edit would work with it.

It seems that you can pick up 20 odd kw from the N/A using the Edit

I.e.

Does the N/A PCM need to be altered, with a boost map, so that it realizes the engine is under boost?

What would be involved tuning A/F ratios, timing under boost conditions?

Does the N/A engine have knock sensors like the turbo version? to help control ping.

I'll ask more as these are answered and as I think of them. :nono:

We utilise the XR6T turbo map sensor in this application (which reads around 2.2bar absolute) and expand the tables for postive pressure mapping. We do this on both the six and eight cylinder N/A cars when a turbo or supercharger is added

Does this come already in the flasher or do you have to ask for it to be added at additional cost?

Does C.A.P.A supply this sensor and wiring details with their S/C kits

macka.

Wrong. Every 6 cylinder in the BA range has a knock sensor, even the gas motors. I know, I fit them on the assembly line.

so, does this mean the turbo and N/A ECU are essentially the same part, except for different mapping, and the boost capable MAP sensor?

just pondering the coming upgrades to the ute.
