I did post this on another thread, but:

I have quit smoking (14th Feb).  After many time of trying I feel I have suceeded.  I know it is only 2 weeks, but this time I have done it for me, and no one else.  If anyone feels that they would also like to do it, buy Alan Carr's " The Only way to quit smoking" book.  I have lent it to 4 other friends that have all quit (most over 6 months now), but I just could not do it, untill now.

I am free of that filthy addiction and I love it. 17 years of being a prisioner to the tobacco drug dealers, but no more.

If you use the method in the book, it is EASY and not painful, stressful or anything nasty.  All you need to do is have a want to quit and be able to read :spoton:

Great Stuff - stick with it !

24 years as a non smoker now and couldn't imagine how hard it would be to give it up if I had to do it all over again.

Well done

6 months ago we signed to build our dream home on a block we've owned for many years now (been absent from the city so it wasn't needed prior).

Well builders being builders and me being me, things just weren't happening right (like at all) so we kissed our deposit goodbye and told the builder to stick his contract where I wanted to put my boots. :w00t2:

To cut a long story short we've found a lovely home in a great suburb for what, in hindsight, could only be considered to be a very reasonable price. Had to make a cash offer (ie bridging finance) as said house was already under offer subject to sale and it was the only way we could get our offer accepted. :nukem:

Anyway committed ourselves for a squillion (well it is to me anyway) with the hope that we could offload the block in a hurry and bugger me dead, one day on the market with a rugged hand made sign and she was sold for 40K more than any agent said we'd get, and sold by us - so no fees either. :spoton:

Now I've just got to finish reno's on house (unit) we're living in and hope that we can pull the same thing off again. Then, and only then, will I stand a chance of a new F6. Otherwise it's off to Simon for the next stage on the T. :w00t2: That's not the end of the world but I'd rather an F6 any day!!!

There, that killed some time on a nightshift
