Hey just wondering what type of exhaust you guys would recommend on a falcon 6. I was looking for something with a deep note and low resonance. Its for an EFII Fairmont Ghia. Is there a place anyone can recommend in NSW that does a stainless steel twin system (cat back) for that model car? If theres other systems you think would go well with the car I would like to hear about it too.

Cheers,

Dave

DaveO I put a 2.5 inch cat back system with a single straight through muffler on my EF falcon 6 (redback muffler I think) it has a deeper note compared to some of the other EF/EL falcons I have heard....

My system was not a bolt on, just one the bloke at the exhaust shop made up.

Thanks for your replies guys. Currently the car has some form of lukey system on it from cat back as the standard one rusted. However I dont find this sustem to be loud enough or look that appealing from the tail. This is because I think it is only a 1.5" - 2.0" single tip exhaust with hotdog mufflers (dad got it put on as a replacement for the stock one that rusted). I really like the APS exhaust system for the xr6t as it has a nice sound and twin tips. Do you think this system would be compatible on my model car?

cheers,

Dave

you can buy a 2.5 inch red back system which bolts striaght on from the cat back sounds good and works well

I've had a few exhaust on my old EF, you want a "Walker big bore" with the optional straight centre muffler (walker is owned my lukey), it cost me $320 with a nice oval tip from carline (Melbourne, but they're a pretty big chain) about 3 years ago, so expect to pay about $250 now. If you don't want the oval tip, you could easily have a twin tip installed, they a few to choose from.

If you want extractors goto www.jimmockmotorsport.com , I got a 26rwkw increase just from their extractors and my exhaust.

Dave.

I priced a lukey from the local Carline shop when I got mine fitted, they wanted $240 from memory with a straight through muffler.

I have twin tips on mine also, I can post a pic of them if u like DaveO, the twin exhaust tips look much better than a single one imo :nono:
