Glad to hear your buying a T im sure you wont regret it.My wife and I have one each and we both love driving them. the guys on here will give you good advice but they will need to know if your going to buy new or used and what you intend to do with it, such as modify it, tow with it or just injoy it. The MkII has the 6 speed and stronger clutch . Best of luck im sure the guys will give you all the info you will need. Cheers BRI BRI.

And make plans to keep it for only 2 years cause if you hang around here you will want to get the best out of it which I might add is about 300 kw at the wheels...... You have made and excellent dicision to get a T however make sure the colour is Mercury Silver cause they are the best and will hold the greatest resale value because there owners are people of discerning quality.....

Anyway do yourself a favour, have a test drive of an auto they do have some advantages. You will have a lot of fun thrashing a demo.

Anything other than undercoat would be a good choice.

Guest FatBAt Guests Posted 17/01/05 04:07 AM Posted 17/01/05 04:07 AM HiI guess one thing to look for is the Average litres/100klms on the trip computer. It is a long time average and can't be faked. Mine on average is round 14.5 lts/100klms. That is with the occassional blat around town. So if it has 18 litres/100klms and the guy is telling you that he only drives it to the shops and to church on sundays....I'd think againI'm talking a standard (2003...38000klm) T with just CAI.Hope this helps.Cheers
