Step above 280kw and you will need to look at upgrading other components in the car, like injectors etc, so you might as well go with a piggyback sollution.

That's true of all the aftermarket solutions though... saying that the BOSSedit is only useful to this power level is like saying the Unichip, Xede, Haltech or TSI is only useful to this point. After that they ALL need to upgrade other components of the engine to achieve more (and reliable) power.

but to put out an opinion without the evidence is total crap!!)

So you are saying the whole forum is crap? It's made up of 90% opinion without evidence. Partly because it's a forum.

Is that just your opinion Rob or do you have some factual evidence? :w00t2:

It's my OPINION Ross. Geez, you either didn't finish school, or you were educated in Queanbeyan. Get a clue. :pinch:

In theory, and edit program should give you the BEST results over any other method as it has the ability to FULLY control the factory PCM. Nothing else is able to do this as of yet.

Nor Exede or Unichip are able to "control" the ECU as such, they just fudge the signals to/from the PCM so that it responds in a different way. (favourably obviously)

The only "problem" with this type of approach is the relative difficulty of tunability. Again this relative difficulty can be offset by good quality tuner software that does the hard yards for the tuner.
