Leaking car..

Ok, has anyone had this? Not sure if the water is coming in from outside the car or from the cooling system somehow.... But I can hear the sloshing of water on the passenger side of the dash and the floor under it is wet.

If you know the old adelaide hills road in to town,devils elbow etc,went for a fang up there(werry werry twisty etc)my feet got splashed,WTF???

Turned out to be a blocked AC drain pipe,which they said was a pain to get to,12 month ago and still good

Does is smell like coolant? Biscuit kind of smell? Then its your heater core, but I think this would smell BAD!

I read in the owners manual that if you spray high pressure water into the LHS grill thing just in front of the windscreen that it can put water into the air vents on that side.

I saw this post yesterday and didn't even think twice about it..... Maybe I got hit with 'Ford Karma' because today my passenger politely asked me why water was dripping on her legs (WTF!). Yep, bloody thing seems to have some kind of block in there backing it up and making it spill over.

Ford will not only have the brake shudder to fix next week, this should keep them busy too... They'll probably try and blame me somehow (I'll have my boxing gloves on ready).

You would think that they could have designed it a bit better to avoid creating blockages. I hope this is not going to be an indicator of what to look forward to...

Definate a/c drain tube blockage. If it were the heater core it would tend to leak out the drain tube unless the tube is blocked.

Great end to the story... as some of you suggested it was a blockage in the AC drainage. They fixed the problem, ripped out my carpet and replaced it too - pretty happy with some good service. Hooray for a good local dealer!
