I turn the headlights on then I gear a "crack" then I have no dash lights, tail lights and the ICC stays lit up. I had the lights on for 5 minutes after replacing the last one and it went.I took the car into ford today and they said that it was possibly something to do with the way the trailer plug was connected. If it is a genuine foed fitted part the it would be covered under warranty, otherwise I would have to take the vehicle back to where I got it from (geelong) and get them to fix it. I had the towbar fitted when I got the car last week and it has only started to happen since Saturday and I have blown 4 fuses since then.Does the diagnosis sound correct?

After blowing 9 fuses my appiontment at ford came around this morning. The problem was that when the towbar was fitted when I got the car, the half wit sat the wiring loom over the exhaust. Need I say any more?? Then they were going to charge me to fix it!!
