Over the past couple of days I have been blowing the 15amp tail light fuse.. I turn the headlights on then I gear a "crack" then I have no dash lights, tail lights and the ICC stays lit up. I had the lights on for 5 minutes after replacing the last one and it went.

I took the car into ford today and they said that it was possibly something to do with the way the trailer plug was connected. If it is a genuine foed fitted part the it would be covered under warranty, otherwise I would have to take the vehicle back to where I got it from (geelong) and get them to fix it.

I had the towbar fitted when I got the car last week and it has only started to happen since Saturday and I have blown 4 fuses since then.

Does the diagnosis sound correct?

Sounds like it could be the towbar wiring.

Problem solved. After blowing 9 fuses my appiontment at ford came around this morning. The problem was that when the towbar was fitted when I got the car, the half wit sat the wiring loom over the exhaust. Need I say any more?? :msm::ermm::ermm::msm::ermm::ermm:

Then they were going to charge me to fix it!!
