rusht Member 198 Member For: 22y 3m 11d Posted 20/09/04 10:13 AM Posted 20/09/04 10:13 AM Still think the Holden "vents" are a wank...at least the Aston Martin, BMW etc ones actually do provide some air flow and are not just cosmetic.if the vents actually do something ,fine have them What about cosmetic rear spoilers? Cosmetic chrome oval exhaust tips three times bigger than the actual exhaust?

Sexy as and straight to the point! But do they really need to be chrome? The chrome is purely cosmetic and doesn't provide any extra power, better sound, better heat dissipation - they should just carry through with the mild steel or stainless, right?

I see your point, but in the end cars are probably quite cosmetic. They could all be shaped like a Toyota Prius, panels could be painted with undercoat just to stop rust and wheels could be raw alloy. Cheaper too.

I'll keep my 18" alloys (they could be steel), tints (I have A/C, don't really need tints), fog lights that don't cut through fog for sh!t (and no, I don't drive around with them on - unless it's foggy or poor weather in which case they're legal), my standard spoiler AND my factory-standard exhaust tip that's bigger than the exhaust itself (and fits with the shape of the bodykit just beautifully).ThankYOU! Oh and as for the vents on the VZ - I still think that's pure wank factor. It's taking it one step too far. But each to their own. I'm sure plenty of people will like them too.But why bring down the Toyota Prius? Quite a nice little car, really. Right?

No they don't need to be, but does your car really need to be painted? When you answer that you'll answer your own question

No they don't need to be, but does your car really need to be painted? When you answer that you'll answer your own question You missed the boat there - rusht beat you to it.But still, I don't think those two points are in the same league, really. How many unpainted cars do you see getting around on a regular basis? Um, about none. How many cars do you see getting around with simple steel or stainless exhaust tips (I.e. no additional zorst tip)? PLENTY! How many muscle cars without chrome tips? Plenty of those also.Don't get me wrong, I think the simple dual chrome tips look great, especially coming out from under the ar$e of a ute. I also don't mind chrome rear muffers on the XR's, but on a different scale. But I still think twin tips (without the chrome) coming straight out the back of your ute (or anyone's for that matter) could look equally as hot.
