theeone Member 349 Member For: 23y 4m 22d Location: Hoddles Creek (VIC) Posted 14/12/05 12:10 PM Posted 14/12/05 12:10 PM All depends on how Handy you are with da spanners and stuff, mates always, well nearly always help, and now with the Forums you can also draw on that experiance.Really dont think it would be a huge problem, hooking it all up like Falchoon said that would be where the work lies.Had a mate who fitted an Alloy Head II of an XF onto a XC block and fitted it into an XY Sedan with a Single Rail and ran the XE Webber carby set on it, did it all with Ford parts, no cutting and shutting, and it went like stink, it was a freak, him and myself at 120 MPH side by side, nothin in it, aahhh, the good old days.
800STA Member 36 Member For: 21y 6d Posted 17/12/05 03:25 AM Posted 17/12/05 03:25 AM Phsically fitting it in a XE Falcon shouldn't be a problem, it's working out how to get it running with all the computer gizmos such as drive by wire that BA have.Maybe you could buy a Haltech or similar computer to work the basic engine management stuff and somehow connect a normal throttle cable up to it. I guess anything is possible if you have enough time, money and resources. Another forum member was talking a few weeks ago about putting XR6T motor in a Cortina. Good luck with it if you decide to procede with it, should be a potent weapon in a relatively light car like XE.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ebay has one right now for $4,500 with all ecu & wiring - will add trans for $1000
