Driveline problems with a Territory

I pose this question as I'd assume MKII has the same driveline changes as the current Terri.

Has anyone had any driveline issues with a Terri? (clunks, whines, shunt)

Surely the Territory isnt suffering the same sort of crap tolerances as the BA?

What sort of driveline changes are you talking about? The only one l am aware of is the T56 which may go some way to reducing shunt in the manuals as many believe the TR3650 is part of the problem at present.

My T5 happily clunks away loudly with the best of 'em now. Never used to do it, nor did the diff used to whine, only since the new gearbox.

Yes, a few of the T5s from series two AU onwards also get "the clunk" - I think this is when Ford had a beefed up box to handle the 220kw motor. T5s before then were pretty good.

My T5 clunks and its not the diff becuse you can hear the same clunk when the car is stationary and you shift the gears, its like there is a bit of slack in the box. I couldn't care less and I can drive it so that it doesn't make a noise. But with 800-watts of premium audio blaring away, who cares what noises the car makes, other than the beautiful whine of the Turbo spooling up and wasting other cars! :o

Territorys are all autos so are unlikely to have driveline shunt as the torque convertor cushions it.
