Dr Z Member 378 Member For: 22y 7m 11d Posted 20/08/04 09:49 AM Posted 20/08/04 09:49 AM Its possible for a well ran-in stock GT to make 250rwkw, believe it or not. That's a good point, though what WhiteTee and xr6ikeness are saying is that an APS Phase II XR6T, which usually delivers between 260-280 rwkW and about 603 Nm of Torque running low 12s over the 1/4 mile (eg Big Mick has done 12.16s on APS Phase II with street tyres with a MPH of 118 and consistently runs low 12's!) will outpace a stock GT right up to the XR6T's speed-limiter (230km/hr), as of course, would an APS Phase III XR6T. To put this in context, even an APS Phase I XR6T can outpace a stock GT over the 1/4 mile with its low-mid 13s compared to GT's high 13s/low 14s.However, Hypnodoc's GT may turn a lot of this around. I look forward to the day when Hypnodoc gives his GT some track time and brighten's GT owner's expectations and perspectives about performance-enhancing mods for their GTs. Not that he has to go on the track because IMHO he has already inspired many GT owners, though taking it to the strip would definitely add more to other's perceptions of GT performance credibility and give hope to those GT owners who know their power-to-weight ratios are not as impressive as modded XR6Ts and other HSVs...as long as the Doc can keep those rear bags from spinning too much.. Safe and happy driving...Dr Z.

Posted 20/08/04 10:11 AM Posted 20/08/04 10:11 AM is hypnodoc for real? from what I have read on these forums his ford gt is modded beyond any reasonable sense. And he is saying that his car stays with the aps stage 1 kit up to 100kmh and the stage 2 to 160kph.you would think that he would burn these turbos from the get go given that he has a blown to the sh*thouse V8.unbeleivable if he cannot overpower the xr6 turbo with simple mods before 100kmh.my 2c.No. he is saying the APS cars keep up with HIM to 100k's &160k's!!.........Bit of difference! Also It's not blown.
