No bugeye & co, theres nothing wrong with the xr seats, in fact the car is sensational. All I said was the GT has a different level of feel to it.

I perhaps shouldnt have put the XR in the same category as the Clubsport but the truth is the XR's have a stiffer suspension to the GT( the GT suspension is clearly more forgiving).

My real thought is buy Clubsport ask for kidney belt.

Prior to buying the GT I had a Tickford Fairmont Ghia( handled great - same deal).

Sorry! Clearly the specs that ford put out must be wrong.

In my opinion owning both cars, one is better than the other.

The Suspension in the XR's in softer than the GT's but the Suspension in the GT is better

In regards to 1/4 mile times and power, there have been massive differences in the recorded power of stock xr's, upto 15% in fact as stated on the APS site. I can also testify to this, cos my old car, a 99 pulsar SSS could pull a high 14 sec qtr and yet all the stats I could find had this car doing mid to high 15's. Go figure.
