siccar,dont get me wrong,aV8 is a V8,but the newies sound hushed up,you could change muffs and live with that.

I said decent sound ,the full deep throat,to get the full range of sound wwwaaarrmmmppaa,wwwaaarrrrmmmmmmpppppaaaaaa pop pop

I was all keen to trade my T in on an XR8 until I test drove one the other week. I wasn't impressed with the acceleration, but the handling I found to not be as bad as some people have reported. Also the bonnet bulge and the exhaust note were sweet, but not woth the extra $$$ in my opinion.

The one I test drove only started on fire around 3k,but if fugin flew.

that's one thing I have to ask.

As a comparative thing. Can anyone tell me wether you can hit 99.9L fuel consumption on the live petrol reading thingy in the XR6T's?

Have to wade in here, take both for a test, if u can get a T to test, but I don't see as much unhappiness on any ford sites with the 8 compared to the T

that's so true. There are so many T owners complaining about reliability but very few XR8 owners complaining. 18's and prestige sound are now standard on the XR8 too.
