OK, you punched a piston out of the block. You were'nt the brain surgeon running shots of NOS at the WSID the other week???

Trumpy,

If you are referring to a gold XR6T

It had a APS kit ( Unichip,injectors,cold air,pump,+ )

Yes it did have NOS, wet system.

The reason it sh*t itself is because he had it Dynoed and the tuner replaced a nozzle

and used Teflon tape as a thread sealer which blocked the fuel nozzle

which caused the piston to seize .Teflon tape should not have been used and has not been the practice of many years.

He is not a happy boy.

The Tuner is well known

A Quote by another member,

Obviously all engines are capable of being destroyed it's up to the tuner to know the limits and know not to exceed them.

Excuse my ignorance, but can you explain a couple of things.

1. I assume you are talking about the wet NOS nozzle?

2. How does the blocked nozzle cause the piston to sieze?

Not familiar with a wet NOS system, intrigued as to cause and effect.

Thanks.

Wet Nos system has a fuel jet and nos jet. The Nos addition allows more fuel to be burnt in the combustion chamber to get a bigger bang more power. If you add nos and no extra fuel eg blocked fuel nozzle you have problems.

So, it comes down to xr6 turbo motors are not weak, his mechanic is just a dumb ass.

Could anyone think of a reason you would need NOS on a T anyway.
