  6. that's the problem saleen I have no diagrams to intall the unit even after asking for help. Will Anyone help?
  7. Can anyone help have been to the excede site numerous times asked for asistance with broken links to install diagrams base maps the only downloadable item on the excede site is now the dyno maps. Little help for a new excede owner. Can anyone help?
  8. Lets see stated on the CAPA site: One Box can be cleared and used on another car for as many as 5 cars, so a $1,297 investment over 3 to me this requires the reset? As stated line C capa site: C: The flash tuner can be changed over to a new vehicle, it must be cleared using software available from CAPA. This process can only be performed 5 times. Then it must go back to SCT / USA for a Reset. The unit is vin locked A: Once the Flash Tuner has been used to program a vehicle, it will be VIN locked to that particular vehicle until the programming has been returned to the stock setting. As per CAPA site http://www.capa.com.au/ford_flash_tuner.htm
  9. I'm confused So....you could transfer Edit between cars, but only after the first car has been returned to a stock tune???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The vehicle being tuned is locked to the box via vin or other unique identifier. The box will tune the vehicle it is locked to indefinitely (the unit can only be locked to one vehicle at a time). If the unit is required to tune another vehicle the unit needs to be sent back to supplier for reset (this can only be done 5 times and will lock the last vehicle (the fifth) to the box). What I am asking is how do you reset the ECU back to stock if you don't have a program? Or will the box hold multiple maps?
  10. Of what I understand you can retune the vehicle as many times as you want. When transfering to a new vehicle you require the unit to be sent back to CAPA or an authorised dealer to be reset. The unit must somehow identify the vechile from vin or something not allowing a port to another car. Was going to try the unit on the teritory and the T but second thoughs now as you don't get any software. So if you mod the car it has to be retuned by the CAPA authorised installer or persons with the software, the unit can only be used on one vehicle and needs to be sent back to the supplier to be reset each time you change from car to car (then locked on the fifth car permanently), how much is the small fee to reset + postage costs and the original program how do you port it back to the EMS when you put the car back to standard? Anyone have any answers?
  11. I believe you would have little to no improvement if you fitted a pod style filter to the original T box. Reasons being you would need to know the surface area of the filter material which I believe would need to be smaller or marginally bigger on the pod as it will need to fit in the airbox. Another thing to remember is the airbox design is for a bottom entry. When looking at a xr8 box design we see the design is for maximum airflow. If you look at the filter used in the xr8 it is the best flowing factory air filter avalible for a car of it's class or was only a couple of years ago borrowed from the mustang. You will also see the filter is larger in size than others. Stone brothers racing were one of the first to use the pleated design on the V8 touring cars to increase surface area of the filter. BMC offer probably the best aftermarket air filter. If you believe the claims of unifilter there can be a gain without testing I don't know. ALL NEW! Ford Falcon BA V8 220KW and Turbo 6 CUSTOM INDUCTION RAMPOD *Power Gain of 4% *Torque Gain of 6% *Improved Throttle Response. *Two Times the Surface Area of the Original Filter. *20% Less Vacuum Than the Standard System. *Kit Comes With All the Hardware Required for Fitting. *No Cutting or Drilling Needed. R.R.P. $185.00 Price Includes the RAMPOD and all the Mounting Hardware The choice I would probably go for the xr8 Box, BMC Filter and added intake adapter to attach the original T snorkel this is a tried and proven winner but the pod in the airbox may have some merit. Hope this helps.

Also now that I own an Excede I have tried to download the base map for the T and the wiring Diag but have been sent to broken links. Any help apreciated.
