04/06/04 06:06 AM04/06/04 06:06 AM #5 Trying to engineer one into Control Blade assembly would be an interesting exercise. I believe you now get them for the IRS rear end in late model Commodores though, so I guess it's just a matter of time before they are available for BA. It would cost a couple of grand at least I reckon (using new gears etc).
04/06/04 06:55 AM04/06/04 06:55 AM #6 You can spend well over 3 grand on a 9 inch just depends how strong and light you want it. ie. Aluminium casing. Wouldn't be a bad idea in a ute with no IRS. But I think you'll blow the transmission before the diff anyway.

Shouldn't be too difficult to graft the 9 inch into the solid rear axle of ute.But the trans still needs a reliable solution......

04/06/04 07:53 AM04/06/04 07:53 AM #9 has there been many probs with the standard diff?????????if so I dont think 9 inch is the go it wont be long before solid parts are made for the ba's.eg. billet centre's
