May 28, 200422 yr #11 Well, you mentioned changing dealers and I was wondering if and how that effected the extended warranty, I thought all the BA's were coming with this now.I too am considering jumping dealers and if you think what they did to you was bad, you should see this, I am soooo pissed I made a web page about it, but it's not for release yet. I didn't even get a keyring either, though premium brakes, Rex3 and a sports steering wheel would help calm me down. It looks like I'll get nothing and these guys will soon have a bad rep.CheersVic
May 28, 200422 yr #12 Author Sorry to hear that you've got problems also. I know there is always someone else suffering the fate of service departments.Coming up with a web page is a drastic measure. What probs did you have, how did you deal with the dealer? or should I wait for your web page. You can have my keyring if you want, it suits a V8 anyway, not much good to me.As far as extended warranty, mine is May 03 build, it came with standard 3 yrs.Cheers, muzzzza
May 28, 200422 yr #13 I would change dealer, I'd also make absolutely sure that the current dealer knew exactly why I was changing and I'd also make sure that the new dealer knew exactly why I was changing.2.2c
May 28, 200422 yr #14 Ok Genebaby you are correct I also got an extra 3 years warranty when I purchased the car giving me a total of 6 years warranty. These warranty`s are sham to keep you going back to the original dealer you bought the car from if you take it anywhere else they will void the extra 3 years, your factory warranty is o.k though. The idea of this is to keep repeat business I am unhappy with my service department therefore am changing they can shove there extended warranty up there *** .If you read yours and its anything like mine it says you agree to pay the min of $250 per service everytime your car is serviced once the extended warranty period kicks in.as for warrantys that arent done by ford direct I wouldnt rely on them too much, we should easily see 6 years b4 we have any probs. It appears not everybody was offferd the extra 3 years.Up to you but if therer not lookin after you go elsewhere.regardsStang
May 28, 200422 yr #15 Yeah, I don't think I'll be seeing satisfaction (there goes that song in my head) so I think I'll be changing, with an introduction of sorts to the new guys. I'm going to give the web page an update before it goes public, but I moved house and my adsl hasn't been reconnected yet so I haven't made the changes yet. You will see it soon I'm sure, too much to mention in a normal post, hence the page, with pics....Service depts, and their accountability can make or break a dealer in my opinion....What sort of keyring is it?
May 28, 200422 yr #16 Author What sort of keyring is it? It looks like V8 motor from the front with Ford logo on it.Are you coming to All Ford Day. I'm in FPV-TC also, if you're there, I'll give it to you.Small consolation for the heartache you've gone through.
May 28, 200422 yr #17 Muzzza, I have found that dealers are completely different, as they are franchises they are operated accordingly. I have changed and could not be happier. One of my incidents was grease all over the headlining at my 3000k service, nice way to treat a brand new $50k car. shows what respect they have. I would rather go to someone who is as interested in the car as I am.

I can't make it to AFD this year, I had to pull out, I was oing with the FPV TC ACT guys. Interesting keyring to give you, they may as well have given you a GT one. Another sign of disprespect.
