Bloody Hell!

I answered it honestly and ended up just about spot on where Nelson Mandela is. I really regarded myself as much more of a right wing authoritarian than that. Maybe I'm a closet anarchist who's a bit pink around the edges. Or maybe our society has gone too far the other way.

I feel very strongly that those who choose to do nothing to help themselves can't expect anyone else to either. And that effective enforcement of the law is a cornerstone of a civilised society. And there are some people who should be locked up and the key thrown away! And I pay too much tax and get bugger all back! But, at the same time, I'd love to see more compassion and tolerance instead of greed and selfishness in the world we share - though that doesn't mean incentive-sapping handouts that come to be regarded as a right, regardless of personal effort and responsibility!

It just scares me a bit to think what the REAL right wing authoritarians are like. Maybe I'll do the test again tomorrow to see if anything changes. But I'd still expect to be more left and libertarian than Plonky - just not as much as Mandela and Ghandi!?

What I think.

If you cant support kids don't have them.

If you want hand outs be prepared to work for the money.

Everyone should get good hospital treatment, if you got lots of money and can afford great treatment you should get that too, it helps fund research.

If you can do a job better than someone else you should get more. If your smarter than the next bloke and get more great, the stupid bloke should either get smarter or get over it.

If you do a crime the punishment should be whatever will stop you doing it again.

Our police force should be able to spend more time fighting real crime than raising revenue.

The tax system should be easier to understand and have less loopholes.

The laws and law enforcemant should use a great deal more common sense and less loopholes.

I got lots more but I got other things to do.
