I was thinking that a ncie drive up to bathurst with a BBQ lunch plus some sight seeing around bathurst might be in order.

Anyone else interested.

I can see it already a picture of 10 or so T's lined up on teh grid of Mt Panorama.

Perhaps go up on the Bells line Road on the way up or back. And fit in a stop at maybe the three sisters as well.

I am sure there is lots of places to go and visit adn drive that may be good. Even down to Jonolan caves is a fun road and we could maybe do a cave walk on the way to bathurst if timings where right.

Hi Guys

I reckon its a top idea.

I took my new "T" up there in Dec.02 (yeah, long time ago!!!) and the wife, kids & I spent a day cruising Bathurst, the holy grail (track) and the museum.

We are from Canberra and the drive from Yass to Cowra really lets the T open up.

We would be interested in a trip (even overnight) again.

With winter sports would be available next school hols for a Sat/Sun trip.

Cheers.

Go the 'T"

MissXR tried to organise a trip to Bathurst late last year, but it had to be cancelled...

We would definately be interested in an overnight trip to Bathurst - would make for some great photo opportunities !

How is the construction of the new pits area going ?

Its pretty cold there this time of year

Good idea Wayne,

Some time in mid June onwards should be OK, not too close to the Hunter weekend.

This sounds like a great idea. I nearly went for a trip out to Bathurst yesterday, but went to Kiama and back through the southern highlands and Picton instead.

There is a great series of back roads all the way from Mount Panorama back to Donnybrook (just this side of Lithgow). Not only is this an interesting drive it is the only way to go when you go to the races at Bathurst. After the race it takes less than an hour to get to Lithgow, where as it can take more than an hour just to get back out onto the Great Western Highway if you go the normal way.

Top idea, just dont make it near Hunter time, and please dont make it in August!

I can help organise the crew from ACT for a convoy run to Bathurst.

Would be great to see us all there on the grid.

I'd be heading up from Wagga so I'd miss all the good twisty bits of road you guys would use on the way up, but is always a nice drive up that way anyways, even if it's for me, normally work trips to Bathurst and Orange.

Cant wait to see what you guys organise, count me in if it does manage to go ahead.

I be in for it.... I was dissapointed when MissXR had to cancel the last one at the last minute because of a stack of drop-outs.

June / July in Bathurst is very very cold..... Not good for people, but very good for Turbo performance....
