April 19, 200422 yr #1 Hi Everyone. Only two more sleeps till I get the beast. Anywho.....Whilst canvasing the forums for running in tips I noticed this quote, "If you baby it, it will not be a high powered engine".I've also picked up on this notion from a couple of different posts. I'm not super mecahnically minded, but I was under the impression that if you didn't wear things in sufficiently, it'd cause problems?Just wondering if anyone can explain how taking it easy will produce a lower powered engine?Slightly puzzled,Noodle..

April 19, 200422 yr #3 If I had the chance to do it again I would warm it up and flog the crap out of it for a hundred km and change the oil after that.Cheers
April 19, 200422 yr #4 AMENT to that brother.Warm up then drive it like you stole it.I have had heaps of new cars and they were all run in HARD. They were all faster than "stock" yet I had done nothing to them. Even the mechanics who worked on them made comment on how fast they felt.Get the car used to how it will be treated early
