  1. Think they checked if the sensor was fouled or not and then they reflashed the ECM. The throttle body on mine was particularly dirty and as I understand (correct me if I clearly don't understand) the transition of it going from being putrid to spotless was too much for the computer to re-adjust for.
  2. So... it turns out the DSC issue was not with the brakes at all but with the throttle body, which was coincidentally cleaned at the same time the brakes were installed. The clue came when the CEL also turned on a day after the DSC first started playing up and the car started rough idling. Guys at Dyno-mite were very quick to sort it out, car & brakes are working perfectly now
  3. Thanks mate, was worried that was going to be the answer haha If I went all out and got a set of 4 pot Brembos on the front to match the set up on HWP cars, how easy is it to re-calibrate the DSC? Assuming Ford has a unique calibration for that set up.
  4. Hey guys, had the PBR upgrade fitted as part of a service today and have now subsequently had an issue with the DSC. When I accelerate hard to break traction, the DSC will intervene but then in five seconds or so will register a fault and show the warning light on the dash. If I turn the car off the warning light goes away, but the error will re-appear if the DSC has to intervene again. Is there a calibration that's required to be completed after installing the PBRs? I'm assuming that the DSC may not be seeing the response that it's inputs are programmed to achieve due to the bigger brakes and is showing a warning because of that. Brake set up was PBR rear calipers + DBA T3s + Project MU pads and it's on an FG MKII Turbo sedan.
  5. Thought I'd post here instead of opening a new thread, I understand you need to trim the backing plate on the rears prior to installing the PBR calipers. Just wanted to query what this thing actually does and how much I should be looking to take off it? Like, if I cut it with 5mm clearance to the caliper have I gone too far or if I leave 5mm of it left on the axle have I not cut back far enough?

Yep vanish blue. Took me a few months to find one in it at the time, it's a great colour but it does show every mark

Haven't taken as many pictures as I should... here's one from pick up day. Doesn't get driven much so is still that clean (at the moment anyway)

Hey guys, new member. Have owned an FG MK2 XR6T as a weekender/occasional daily for coming up two years now, I've so far resisted the urge to modify too much out of respect to my bank account but the Covid lockdown has me bored. First thing I'm doing is upgrading the rotors and pads on the brakes and swapping the rear calipers for the Territory ones; got a lot of value out of the posts on this board so thought I should at least sign up!
