Does anyone here know if there is some reason a battery would be dead after only a year in a phoon? I have only been driving it once every two weeks for the last 6weeks. if anyone would be able to help me on this issue it would be great! Thanks josh

Hi thanks for your help guys. Sorry I didnt make the QLD cruise I had relly's over. I took the car into springwood ford today and got some warrenty work done like the leaking left cv seal and sunroof creaking, they also fitted new rear brake hoses and the Brakes feel alot better. They are allright the green machine at springwood. Although I think HARDON had a few problems when they smashed his XR6T. By the way mick car is goin great!!

Well I hope the T5 is going alright too as someone else owns it lol. I think it may have been on the way out

I'm just loving this car ATM!! Thanks for the advice about the techwax and bug n tar remover. used the bug and tar remover by turtle today it works a treat and I will get some techwax soon. What should I use to strip the remaining wax on the car?

Hi guys just wanted to gloat and say I am now the proud owner of a Rapid F6 BA MKii T56 with sunroof, satnav, custom plates with cloth interior. Its Hardon's old car which I bought for $36k I just have a few questions for you guys. Why do the spark plugs need to be changed so ealry at 30, 000km? and what is a good polish to get those little black dots (road tar grim stuff) off the car and give it a bit of protection. I'm thinking that new turtle wax clay bar stuff?

Well I have been with RACQ the last 2 years and I am a rating one for life. Maybe I should have stayed with them, oh well too late now I will just have to see how things pan out. I talked to RACQ about modding the phoon and I was quickly followed by the answer NO. and then NO again after explaining myself. Even though my old XR6T was moded oh well I'm trying to do the right thing here so I dont get bitten in the arse. Whats shannons like?? anyone

I have an xr6t that has been edited with wog cooler f6 CAI exaust mod running 260atw. I want to know if fitting a 83c thermostat would help or do I need to do a retune for the thermo fans to come on?

I done this yesterday and the lack of lag and sound is quite good. Car feels quicker smother and easier to change gears. I think the factory blow off valve was put there to stop noise more then anything!

Yeah it was fun... I only managed to do one good run clocking 13.70. I have an edit custom 10psi tune, wog cooler, 2ndCAI K&N and centre muffler removal. My clutch slipt on the first, traction control on in the second and had a good run in the third. Your right Paul it is an art more so with the manual. Your phoon was awsome 6spd AUTO is the go! I think I might look at fitting a new clutch and injectors.

No I was there it went for 45k start price first bid. I think he was stupid.

I had a look at it today. Looked ok but there were some nics and scratches, in some places it looked to be resprayed. The front rotors were smashed you would be up for new ones. I might go for a look tomorrow. I talked to a cop recently and he said it would go for 40 to 45k I cracked up laughing in his face. I would say mid 30s to high 30s. Anyway they have 10 of these so if you are interested I would wait out. I also have a number to call to find out insurance details on the cars.
