  1. Yer that was me, had a little too much to drink at a work do!!!
  2. TLIBAN, available. Don't like your chances though!
  3. I could say I sell sideways loading lift cranes for the trucks I sell HAHA. Seriously, Vicroads have been knocking a few back lately. apparently anything with KLR in it. My friend tried HSVKLR, no go. And I also believe they can now re-call plates already issued if they are deemed offensive. Anybody heard that?
  4. Stop looking problem fixed. Peski studs from exhaust manifold to turbo worked loose. Under the heatshield made a hell of a racket. Strange but quite common apparently!
  5. Explains itself. Never had a problem with police either.
  6. I thinks it's always going to be this way when a powerful car with a young man at the wheels crashes. It's easy news to sell. I think any car crashing into a servo will always make news too though! Just a quick funny though.....My friends younger sister just got her P plates here in VIC. She asked me to come and check a whiring noise in her 4cyl FWD. It was slow to accelerate and made a funny noise from complete stop, but only in the wet. Err luv that's the front wheels spinning! I think a major problem for a lot of people is they are taught to be the best reverse parkers in the world, but are not taught about how to actually control and understand basic driving dynamics. Always bad to see such a big accident though.
  7. I was running a custom tune. I just went back to 8PSI so as not to stress it if I have bent something. I will hopefully know this afternoon. It's been great on 10 PSI custom so far. 125000 km's 35000 on 10 PSI so I don't know. Be nice if it was something simple!!!
  8. that's the first thing I did. I still heard it so backed off straight away. I will leave it at HP-F over night let the boys do a cold start up and get the verdict. Hopefully nothing too serious. It's getting the BIG service this Sunday, before I figure out how to put my water/methanol injection system on from Snow Performance.
  9. about 10 days ago, been driving like nana since.
  10. Hey guys I was wondering if anybody has had this problem. When I first drive off in the morning, after I warm her up mind you. It's making a lot of noise like "pinging" I guess. I nurse it gently using 25% throttle only then it comes good after about 2 minutes or so. After that no problem. I am running just the 10 PSI Generic tune, valvesprings and rear muffler that's it. It's just had the 130k service. Any ideas guys? Thanks!
  11. Great cruise, nice cold air. I think some of those super low xr6t's felt the pinch on the road into Gisborne........YPURV4, SHYXR? I left early and cruised back home via Frankston Dandenong road. Got a front row seat as the Police Air wing landed right in front of us for a severe accident near McDonalds. We had to detour then as we got on the freeway, another massive accident. Not a good night for the SES down our way. Those helicopters are massive up close.
  12. See you there. Hope the rain stays away.
  13. I had that, and the bolt was just sitting there when I got home. Put it back in and presto all ok. I check em during the monthly "checkup/beer session in garage" in that order too!!!
  14. Got the word off a guy about a place in Sunshine VIC that cryogenically treats components to increase hardness and resistance to wear. Does it on the trucks I sell to him and swears by it. Turns out these does the brakes for alot of Auscar/Late model camira cup etc cars and runs his own 9 sec subaru as well as doing the treatment to engines/drivetrains for alot of pro-stock teams, so guess he has the runs on the board. It involves cooling to -200 degrees C then bringing them back again, and where required a final treatment to relieve the component. Neil recommended DBA or RDA slotted rotors, and Formula Ferodo or Bendix Ultimate pads. Not cross drilled as these tend to "Tram Track" the pads. He then treats the rotors AND pads whole process takes a week. You can machine the discs/engine components and it wont affect it because it treats the material right the way through. Long disc and pad life and no brake shudder. I will let you all know how it goes!!! I am looking at getting all my new engine components done too, including engine block, pistons, head, valves the whole lot for $1200.00 www.cryogen.com.au
  15. I had a gutted CAT on my VTEC CRX for 3 years. Got an EPA for too loud once by an off duty officer. Just went for a sound test had em stuffed too. VTEC dosn't activate below 5700RPM and won't activate in neutral or without the car moving so it passed anyway. Above that it screams! Just change it back to stock before you go to the EPA=solved! I think mine is average @120k so I will prob gut it this w-end. They are good for knocking down noise though......
  16. I have to do the 120k service this weekend so I will weigh one of the rears then with the tyre on. AWSMXR your Simmons are made the same way, genuine 3 piece forged rims are always lighter.......hence the crazy price for them new!!! I went to tyre factory like you said and they rolled the rear guards great. I would like to go as low as yours but police down here really don't have a sense of humour, and the negative camber would burn my wallet to hell!!! You can pick up some great bargains on ebay and firesport just keep an eye out for forged 17" rims that were on R32-R33 Skylines, TT and V8 Soarer, Nissan 300ZX TT, basically any rear drive Japanese performance car with 5x114.3 stud pattern. Offset is pretty close, and most big HP Jap cars had an 8" front 9" rear width combo. If you need to fine tune offset and centre bore like I did just get Wheelworks in Dandenong to machine them- $20.00 cash per wheel. I bought mine for $400.00 BUY IT NOW on E-bay last Friday off a guy whose girlfriend wanted them out of the garage........WTF is she doing in there anyway?!?!?!? They were off a Nissan 300ZX TT and I think he just didn't know what he had. New in 1996-2000 they retail here in Australia for around $3600.00 but I think most find their way to Australia Via Import scene. Even Jap Wreckers have sets for around $800.00 including rubber now in 17". Just be carful some front rims will go close to calipers depending on style so trial fit if unsure!!!
  17. Turn in response is much better. Soaks up the bumps well and has a nice direct feel. I will get some side pics this week before I clean the wheels up proper. I just wanted to make sure they would work on the car before I polished them up. I bought the rear lip spoiler from FTG Auto salvage about a year ago, before the Force 6 and 8 came out for $75.00 in primer. I believe they have gone up a bit since then though. Then I shaved the badges and welded up the boot where the ford emblem was just to clean it up. Glad you guys like it. 17" just seem to ride nicer for me.
  18. Took some quick pics of my T with the 17x8 and 17x9 STERN lightweight forged 3 piece rims. King SSL rear and SL front, some centre bore machining, guard rolling and presto they fitted! Super light and very strong I know they are only 17" but I like a bit of sidewall. Cheap for skids too!!!
  19. 3 or 4 of us from frankston are headin out tonight just cruise princes hwy etc leaving here around 9 ish
  20. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Methanol
  21. Yeah guys what time? I got a 3 or 4 of us coming up for a cruise from seaford in our turbos, what time do you want to meet at new oak tonight?
  22. No rain this weekend. I tried washing my car and blasted the clear coat off my grille! We got a huge truck wash bay at work with a gazillion PSI does a great job but the stone chips in the clear yikes! better stand further back next time. This thing blasts brake dust off with just water its a beast!!!
  23. Usual meet up at New Oak? What time ladies?
  24. My 1 owner aunties 1973 HQ Belmont wagon with 74,000 original kms on the clock and wait for it........................ A 1972 Honda 1300 coupe 9s It's factory dry sump, air cooled 1300cc and rated at 122 BHP. It still reaches over 130 MPH and revs to 9000RPM. Induction is from quad carbs and it has a close ratio 4 speed with 4 wheel idependant suspension and 3 spot front calipers all factory! I am about to perform a ground up restoration after spending around 5 years collecting the bits for this rare beast!!! Certainly different to my XR6T!!!
