  1. Haha that's the response I have had elsewhere!
  2. Also, for a complete change of direction, I'm now fancying bronze wheels on a white FG. What do people think of these TSW's? 19x8 front (+35 offset) and 19x9 rear (+32 offset). What is the standard FG offset?
  3. Thanks guys. Any advantage/disadvantage to running 245/40 front and 275/35 rear (instead of stock 245/35 and 275/30)? This should give a bit more ride comfort than stock due to thicker rubber?
  4. Why do you say to use 245/40 front? 35 front and rear matches the original factory tyres so speedo shouldn't change? I am fitting re003's or pilot sports.
  5. Thanks. Can I fit 275/35's to the rear? This is significantly cheaper than 275/30.
  6. I'm thinking about Mustang wheels for my white FG XR6T mk1 (replacing the centre caps with black 'Ford' ones). The sizes/offsets are 19x9in (+45 offset) front and 19x9.5in (+52.5) rear. Will this work and look ok? I don't what rims that stick out too far, prefer closer to flush or inside the guards. Are the sizes legal in Vic? (original rims are 245/35-19). Appreciate the feedback!
  7. Thx! Also, what tyre size would I need for these? The factory FGX XR8 had 275/30 on the rear and 245/35 on the front. Will my speedo on the FG XR6T read right or do I need to get 275/35 on the rear?
  8. Is this true though of the mk2 ICC which protrudes out much more than the mk1 ICC?
  9. I love my Mk1 XR6T but my biggest gripe is the antiquated premium audio system (not so premium). I'd love to completely update the system including double din head unit (with android auto) so I can use Google Maps, Spotify, watch videos etc, but more importantly to get QUALITY sound out to new amp/speakers/subwoofer. Not interested in a single din head unit in place of the tissue box holder. This is my idea (and being a complete newbie this idea is probably highly flawed): I know it's possible to relocate the stock ICC down low (have seen it done on another forum), but I'm not sure if the 7" Kenwood could fit up top - is there enough depth available? I'd appreciate some feedback on whether this idea is possible from people with the experience and know how. This aside, I can't help shake the feeling that this would be a "tacky" upgrade given the standard CD player and controls would become redundant. Wish I could so something about these as well!
  10. I've now fallen for the FPV R-SPEC and FG-X XR8 rims in 19x8 and 19x9 (I'm after some more rear wheel grip). I assume the offsets would be ok for an FG? These wheels comes in two insert colours, graphite or black. Which would look better on a white FG XR6T? I'm leaning towards graphite. 11. Thanks for the suggestion. Simmons are probably not my style. How do the FG X XR8 or FPV GT rims look an a white FG? I like these, but probably a bit of an unoriginal choice though. Those Mars wheels look but they are surprisingly cheap. How's the quality?
  12. I have a white FG XR6T with the factory luxury pack 19" rims. Looking to update these to something fresh and also to increase tyre width for more grip. I'd appreciate some suggestions on decent quality choices that work well with a white FG. Happy to pay around the $2k - $3k mark, new or secondhand.
  13. As per title, where is the o2 sensor located on an FG XR6T? Thanks in advance!!
  14. I have a stock standard FG XR6T Mk1 with 100,000 km's that I would like to get modded. I am in Melbourne. So far I am looking at the Nizpro Stage 2+ and HPF Venom Stage 4 kits, which cost $7,900 and $7,995 respectively. Which kit offers the best value for money? Is the parts quality comparable? Any other tuners I could consider that would cost less but still use quality parts? From their websites, the kits include the following parts: Nizpro http://www.nizpro.com.au/products/cobra-kits/ford-fg-xr6-turbo-and-f6-cobra-kits/ X-cal 3 Flash tuner Hi-flow fuel injectors XR6T and G6ET only Stainless steel hot side turbo outlet pipe Hi flow catalytic converter Nizpro hi-flow complete intercooler and pipe kit Intercooler kit tested to over 700 rwkW 1000 wheel horse power Nizpro 102mm stainless steel exhaust system Dual 100mm cat design HPF http://www.hp-f.com.au/catalog/power-packages/ford-fg-turbo/ford-fg-turbo-venom-stage-4/ Process West Stage 1 Intercooler with Hot & Cold side piping 3.5″ Turbo back exhaust (4″ dump pipe) 12psi actuator upgrade Wastegate flapper upgrade 100lb fuel injectors Process West Street air intake Process West Air Intake muffler delete SCT X-Cal4 Flash box & Custom tune
  15. I just bought a 2008 FG XR6T (yay) that features the luxury pack and tech pack. I'm trying to figure out if any safety options were ticked, such as side curtain airbags. How do I tell?
