I had the same trouble a little while back. Ford said they arent covering, under warranty, the swallowed cd's if they are burnt cd's. Apparently, the blank cd's are a different thickness to a bought cd, hence the problem. what I was trying to get at was these cop Typhoons will be different to a Typhoon that the average Joe can buy off a dealer and could and I stress COULD be considered more desirable in years to come as they are a low volume produced POLICE CHASE TYPHOON. Some people get off on stuff like that.

police cars have their speed limiter removed and their speedo goes up in 2.5km increments, this is so they can trail you and calculate your speed accurately without a radar. All the cop cars I have worked on in Queensland have had both of these modifications done. The older falcon cop cars also had a different interior light assembly, simular to an EB/ED assembly. Base model detective cars also had lowered suspension and different shocks. I hope that can help.

it would be a good car to buy at auction. no speed limiter, different speedo. A special low volume Typhoon? I wonder if they would be worth more than your gardern variaty 2006 Typhoon 15 years down the track ?

measure from the centre of your wheel to the gaurd. Then measure from the centre of the wheel to where you would like the gaurd to sit (probibly level with the top of the tyre). The difference of the two measurements is how much more you want it to be lovered. The level of your springs can not be adjusted you will have to buy new springs or spend some cash and buy adjustable suspension.

did you polish the tappet cover and manifold yourself?

Removing the tank is pretty straight foward if you have a hoist. Just installed a Walbro a few weeks ago

As a person who has rolled a car at 170km an hour I would like to point out that the speeds we are all taking about are dangerous on public roads. If you are to have a misshap your life and the life of others are in the hands of GOD!

Let me know if anybody would like to stop along the way eg: stop for a drink at the Leap Hotel or go for an afternoon cruise to Laguna Queys Resort once we have met up with other owners in Airlie. Cheers Judd

It would be good if all the Mackay cars could travel together to Airlie. We will meet at Sails Sports Bar at the Mariner at 10.30am 10th Feb where we can meet and greet before we head off to Airlie. If photos are wanted to be taken now would be the time while the cars are nice and shiney. If we can leave before 12:00 that should give us plenty of time to get to Airlie, book into our hotels, meet other owners and leaving us plenty of time to enjoy the afternoon over a few COLD beers before tea. Im open to any suggestions and would like feed back to aid in planning the cruise.

The cruise will be on the 10th of Feb. I hope you can make it NUT, that is the time that suites a few of us. That would be good Dave if you could get that many to come along.
