  1. Is it possible to "Flash" the xr6 turbo engine control unit to run the typhoon software? Ie more boost. True or Myth?
  2. Thanks. 42104 DBA front rotors. Anyone know the part number for the green ebc's front?
  3. I'm after premium pads and disks for my BA. Aftermarket what options do I have? Ford want stupid money for original equipment stuff. Any recommendations, brands to stay away from?
  4. It was the left rear drive shaft. Got one from CNC bearings Artamon $165 delivered. Easy to fit took about 30 minutes.
  5. Jacked up the rear of the car. Here's the findings. The bolt is tight and in place, the bush is cracked and I'll replace it but no noticeable play. With jack stands under the rear, up to 60km/h in fourth and back off just touching the throttle no movement from the CV's. No excessive play in either side of the shafts when turned by hand from wheel. Sounds like a CV to me. From others experiences. I'm going to replace the Left Hand Side this week. Then If still there I'll look into the diff. Any one rebuilt a diff themselves yet?
  6. Thanks for that I'll check em this arvo. I should have mentioned it is a rotational noise, not a single knock. At wheel speed. Nath
  7. I've a very nasty knocking sound from the rear of my car. Coasting or very lightly on the throttle. At just under 2000rpm and/ or 60km/h does it all the time now. Its gotta be the diff or CV shafts I assume but which is more likely? Last November There was a loud bang from the car some where, I thought some one had run into us it was that loud!! Was that the CV endind itself? Been there ever since, but heres the thing, It used to knock slightly ON acceleration then went away. Nows it back louder and on coasting/ light throttle. I've seen the shafts are around $300 but the Diff's? Who recondtitons them in Sydney? I'm not replacing it. What do you guys reckon? Anyway to check either? Thanks on AUSTRALIA DAY!!!!! Nath
  8. sweet, thanks mate
  9. Hi there, Just wondering if anyone has tried or thought of fitting the bf stability control to a ba? Is it a different pump or just a different control unit? Just wondring.. regards nathan
  10. Hi again, Before I remove the icc I heard from an auto electrian that when the icc is out do not turn the ignition on other wise the car will need to be towed to ford to be restarted with there computer?? anyone know if this is true? happy new years guys!!! thanks nath

  12. Well the falcon ate a cd of mine today and a want it back so I thought after xmas, I'd remove the icc and open it up. Has anyone had a go at this themselves? I found how to remove the icc instructions but didn't see if anyone had given this a hit? I've plenty of small torx tools etc and a bit of experience in this sort of thingy so whats to lose hey, the stacker part already is broken can't get much worse..
  13. Thanks for the real world advice Jimmy. I guess I'll wait and see now. The falcon's into the panel shop early January, will come out brand new, so it might be time to find a Mk2 6 speed or 6 speed auto too trade into or Typhoon... Thanks again guys!! Nath.
  14. I've no doubt about that brother!! I smile all the time now and she's stock!!
  15. So 250RWKW is about the safe limit for a T5? Would that only be an Edit? No need for all the extra goodies then? What could I expect from that level of performance?
