  1. Exhaust is a 3.5" Xforce and the cat was in place for the dyno runs. Thanks champ. Car next to me was a VL Turbo, he turned the tyres and got on and off it. I am pretty sure the VL is a Low 10 or 9 sec car runs a chute so I presume he usually runs over the 140mph
  2. Yeah all my tuning was done on BP Ultimate
  3. I went the external gate path as I didnt want to muck around with wastegate porting and have issues. I believe you have better boost control with this setup. Leigh would be able to give you the rundown on the benefits of this setup. Wanted to be a little different too, wasnt sure how it would sound but I like it, definetly shocks a few people with the bark that comes out of it at full noise.
  4. Yeah no cat have a straight through pipe that I slip in for the drags. Wasn't tuned on the C16 mix but ran it as more of a saftey factor, could probably lean on the tune a bit more with a straight mix. Hopefully I can go 10.60-10.70. Thanks champ, I might have to seriously think about coming down there would be unreal to see three 10 sec F6's at one meet. I am definetly going to go down the cage path though, keen to try and push this setup as far as I can. Sould be interesting when you and Mauz are back out on the track can't wait to see your times tumble, hoping I can follow suit. We were actually both at Heathcote on the same day before, was about two years ago you probabbly wont remember though. I think you were running mid 11s or 11.80 back then.
  5. Thanks Muz. Im glad its starting to work out, after that first run when it went into limp mode I was just thinking not now just wanted to get one cleanish pass in. Yeah he said he was talking to you the other day and was going to be shooting with you this weekend. I let him know in the morning how I went. Sounds like your going to have some good fun in your car too, Good luck at Jambo.
  6. Thanks to everyone for the kind words. Mods of the car are: Process West Race Plenum Kit Process West Surge Tank and 044 pump X-Force 3.5" Exhaust with twin dump ETM external gate setup with screamer pipe on Standard turbo Deka Injectors Atomic Valve Springs CV Tuned Motor is standard except for Valve springs Box is bog stock Timeslips are attached, the time was run on a mix of BP Ultimate approx. 1/4 tank and 20L C16. There is definetly more in this car, was only my third time drag racing and first time out with this setup. Previous best was 12.64 Tune only almost two years ago. I have some video footage that I will post when I figure it out which shows the wheelspin off the line hence the 1.855 60ft. Went a bit softer on the burnout second run as I went a bit overboard on the first run burnout and put the box into limp mode, suppose that's what happens when you sit in the staging lanes for one and a half hours waiting for your first run and get a bit to anxious. Have to say massive thanks to Kev from Process West, your service is second to no others thanks for the great gear. Leigh from ETM, for the External Gate setup and organising ceramic coating your a champ, you know I will be back when I am ready to upsize the turbo. Con, Vic and the boys at CV Performance for the tunes and mechanical work. This car wouldnt have happened if all these people didn't add each of there magic touches. I was met by the ANDRA steward when picking up my timeslip to tell me I need to fit a cage, not sure what to do yet but I definetly want to get back out there and have another crack and lower my time.
  7. I reckon there's a good chance he might be there tommorow, I hope he gets it sorted and turns up. Sounds tougher than the video shows look forward to seeing it go down the track
  8. Well done, nice result boys. I have almost the exact same setup just a few little changes . Now I know what I can expect from my car which should be running in the next few days, ready for tuning next week. Good luck at the strip.
  9. I have started fitting my new gauges/tripod to my car and have sold my FPV pod and gauges to a friend. I am wondering if it is ok to remove the whole gauge loom from my car (BF F6) to use in his car (BF 2 XR6T Ute). I cant see any problem using the boost sensor for him but am unsure what issues it may cause by removing the factory oil pressure sender and associated wiring. I am also assuming that after I unplug the loom from my car it should be a straight forward plug in back to his car. Thanks Markvan
  10. Problem solved, got them in no problems now. Need to sit the gauge into pod, then pod into holder then push pod all the way home (Was pushing the gauge all the way into pod before fitting to holder before). Thanks for the help to all that replied. Markvan
  11. I have the gauges in the pods, but did things a little differently. I didn't bend the terminals as you have, I cut them off and soldered them the same way as Ninka had done previously. I think it must be the 90 degree fitting I am using as the block before the reduction is square and wont allow the pod to slide all the way into the holder. Some might say its risky running mech. oil pressure gauge in the cabin, but I really think the risk is negligible each to their own I guess.
  12. Whilst my car is off the road I thought I would fit my tripod. I have encountered a couple of problems: 1. I am using mechanical boost and oil pressure gauges but am having trouble getting them to fit with the elbows I have for them. How or what elbows did others use when fitting mech gauges in the tripod? 2. The little white plastic clips that hold the tripod in, I have managed to break one of them and cannot find another one at any of my local auto stores. I am from Wollongong so if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. I have sent Phoon a PM but I'm a little impatient at times. Cheers Markvan
  13. Well done yet again Mauz awesome result. Hopefully I will be around that sort of time very shortly. Markvan
  14. If it is going to be on a weekend I cant do it as I work a weekend roster as quoted. Sorry guys. If you do it mid week no problems though.
  15. I am willing to put my car up as the test mule if everyone is happy for it to be used, but would have to be during the week as I work weekends, say Tuesday-Thursday. Car is BF Typhoon May 2006 50 000kms ZF 6spd Auto Mods 3.5" X-Force Exhaust Siemens Injectors Actuator Custom Intercooler (not that it matters) Just a quick question though will the car be tuned to suit each product or run as is? Markvan
  16. I have had it happen twice now in 30000kms local ford dealer was kind enough to fix it for me second time around.
  17. I can post a pic up of a melted exhaust wheel from a Typhoon if you don't believe this can happen. I don't think this was caused by not having a turbo timer though.
  18. Well done Muz Have to sort my car out and see how I hold up against you some one in my family has to beat you at something
  19. Well dont leave us hanging then. What did it do

Hey Fats I have the perfect car for you and I know you were talking about getting one before. Its just what your after, didnt really want to get rid of it but because we are buddies I will think about parting with it. Has been garaged for the last 5 years or so needs a little bit of work but I reckon you will love it. Its a Expensive Daewoo to so you should be wrapped in it.
  21. I have used D & R Differentials, there address is Unit 12/26 Barry Road Chipping Norton 2170. There phone number is 97554357, cant give them a big enough wrap great bunch of blokes and very helpfull.
  22. Any update on these gauges yet, I have the tripod and dont want to buy any gauges if these are going to be available soon.

Was going to use the spare but arent they a different offset? They spare is a front and can be used on the rear but the rears cant go on the front yeah? So if I do that I will have one rear only rim and one front rim on the back which worries me as I dont know exactly what the difference is between the two. I may be able to get it repaired but it gouged the rim fairly deep.
  24. markvan replied to markvan's topic in Wheels and Tyres
Dont want to claim on insurance as it is only one rim I need
  25. markvan posted a topic in Wheels and Tyres
I had a bad night tonight and clipped a curb in my typhoon tonight on the way out of a parking station, damn tight corners didnt even see the lump of concrete after I went out of the boom gate. Anyway I need 1 new rear rim now I was wondering if anyone here works for ford or has a contact at ford and can get me a nice discount as I think they are going to want alot of money for it. I am in the sydney/wollongong area so anyone that can help me out it would be much appreciated
