I'm still here guys! thanks for all the info! just getting started on it this week, I have a buyer for the gearbox from the mk1 so im gonna get onto it tomorrow. Im a student working part time so time is extremely hard to come by unfortunately, but I plan on having it all finished by end of holidays in Feb. Ill keep this thread updated with the progress, and I appreciate all the help guys, im sure ill run into plenty of troubles along the way. I read that thread from start to finish, lots of good info for me there thanks mate! The xr6t is fully complete minus all seats and door cards. The indicator lever feels extremely loose in it so id say there is damage in there somewhere not sure how bad. Will I have to use the xr steering column for any reason at all? thanks man, I will do that Will update next when the motor and gearbox is out of the white ba!

I was able to get a very straight ba mk1 sedan for very cheap and now I wanna put all the running gear from a xr6t into it. I bought a beat up 2002 xr6 turbo, with no interior, and a lot of body damage but the motor runs fine. I wanna swap the motor, suspension, brakes and diff and I also need to convert the mk1 to a manual as that's what the xr6t is, so also pedal box and transmission. I was just wondering if anyones done anything similar and might be able to give a few words of advice? Im really hoping a lot of the gear is just bolt off bolt on and all the mounting is the same between the 2 cars, is that the case?
